Now what did you say you would do if you could bench 105 when I did it? The only thing stopping you was you! You are way better than me at everything fitness! No need to play around! :
The trainer who taught me Oly lifts does weighted pistols on the bosu. (I saw him do it ) The x-fit trainer hates standing on ball and bosu work because he claims it makes you bowlegged while doing your exercise and can blow out your achillies tendon.
Who knows!
There's a poster photo of a girl doing a handstand on a beach in a bikini at the Crossfit gym. I keep wanting to say, "I know her". But it's not your photo.

haha i think i said i would throw a party! lol i am not better at everything fitness, brat you are Krazy!
that is so weird that the x-fit trainer hates the ball and bosu work. i've never heard that it makes you bowlegged or that it could blow out your achillies...huh, i'll have to do some research on that when i have time. i'm curious now.
and LOL about the girl in the picture at your CF gym. there are some of the most amazing handstand pictures on the CF website. handstands everywhere!
p.s. glad to hear you are enjoying your CF workouts!

IT band is so freckin tight. i spent a good 20 min on the foam roller. i've iced, took anti-inflammatory, rubbed it all day, even sat on a tennis ball and worked all the way up to my hip all day at the office. i think i did a little too much running and the jump rope yesterday was the last straw. i've just realised all of my ongoing pain is ipsilateral. shoulder, hip, glute, knee...i guess it makes sense though. i just had never though about it.
warm-up:
75 double dog walks
Trainer Day!
workout:
tabata swing-ups: 35#db
13-8-9-9-8-10-8-11
tabata sit-ups: feet unanchored, legs straight out infront
12-13-13-12-11-13-10-12
oh my unanchored with legs out straight are so much harder then having your legs bent with feet anchored!
deadlift warm-up:
135x3, 135x3, 155x3
7x3 circuit:
deadlift: 180x3, 180x3, 180x3, 180x3, 180x3, 180x3, 180x3 (PR)
free standing HSPU from straddle press to handstand*: 3-3-3-3-3-3-3
*i had trouble balancing without walking in handstand position so my trainer would put his hands infront and behind my legs and make me balance on my own before going for the HSPU. only did 1-2 full ROM, most of them were not full ROM, but it was fun trying them free standing.
i've never done this 7x3 circuit. it was hard and i was quite worn after this. those deads were very hard the first couple sets but got easier. on my very last rep of the very last set i ripped. so glad that happened at the end. my hands are fried. i'm hoping that i'll be able to hit my goal of 2x my bw deadlift in the next couple of months.
food:
carbs: 226g 39%
protein: 188g 40%
fat: 43g 21%
total cals: 1987
tomorrow is a well needed rest day!

hey gymgirl : GREAT workout. 7x3 deadlifts at 180 is amazing, you are a freak! lol
2x bw i bet you could do it now for a single.
And i can't believe you were doing free-standing handstands!!
Sorry to hear that you are suffering the pain, maybe you need to take more than a day off. Or at least dont do any running for a while! that sounds horrible.
Ive never tried situps unanchored with feet straight, i dont think I'd be able to do one though!

That deadlift / HSPU thing looks cool. I would love to try it, but of course I can't do a handstand so that's a problem.
Tabata stuff is always good too.

i sure hope you are right!
minime i don't think i could get that now as a single! you should have seen my first attempt yesterday at 180. i phsyched myself out and couldn't get the bar off the ground. my trainer had to remind me i had DL'd 20# more before. lol
strangely though my IT band is feeling much better today. i think those DL's helped, as it felt better right after my workout. I will take today off though and hope i feel well enough for some runs on saturday.
so I got one picture to show you guys. my photog has been extreamly busy but was able to upload one for me.

That is a GREAT photo gymgirl. The thought of making it a screen saver crossed my mind. You are chiseled. Looking forward to seeing the rest.
A good photographer makes all the difference. I think good things lie ahead for you.
p.s. keep squeezing in those isometrics and I believe you will be glad you did.

Amazing photograph.
I'm truly impressed by the strength it takes to do that.
