A good photographer makes all the difference. I think good things lie ahead for you.
p.s. keep squeezing in those isometrics and I believe you will be glad you did.

cardio:
2 mile run 6.5-7.0
lots of stretching and foam rolling.
workout:
"Helen"
Three rounds for time:
Run 400 meters
1 1/2 pood Kettlebell X 21 swings (or 55 pound dumbbell swing)(sub 27.5#db)
12 Pull-ups
time: 9:25 (pr by 10 seconds)
:10 sec better then last time, and with 7.5# heavier dumbell. I think i spent a good 15 seconds per round running back and forth between the pull-up area, db swing area and treadmill. 1st run 8.0-8.3 2nd run 8.3 3rd run 8.5-9.0. i tried to take my heart rate after this and i think it was at 122. i always have trouble finding my pulse.
split jerk warm-up:
20x10, 30x8, 45x5
Split Jerk 3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1 reps
50x3-55x2-65x2-70x2-75x1-80x1-85x1-95x1- 105x1 (PR!)
very happy for the helen PR and the split jerk PR. finaly split jerking my bw! boy that felt heavy!
after the gym i went to see the new condo my parents bought. i'm so excited they are now only going to be across the water from me (15min) vs. 1.5 hours away. it's going to be so werid not going to the house i grew up in for thanskgiving and christmas, and no more canoeing at their beach...sigh.oh well atleast i will get to see them more!
have a great weekend everyone!

Congrats on the PRs. You seem to do good on Saturday workouts.
HR of 122 bpm sounds low to me after doing "Helen".
You too have a great weekend!

lol i'm guessing that is a good thing since you put two thumbs-up signs? so uh, thanks i guess?
thanks everyone for the nice comments on the PR.
i can't believe it's back to work tomrorrow. we should get an extra hour off of work since we lost an hour of our weekend with this daylight savings business. i am so mean and bitter on mondays.
saturday i ate bad all day long. went to lunch with my parents and had a falafal sandwhich, then for dinner b/f and i got indian take-out. then he had a show and i had a beer there too. then i came home after midnight and had more indian food. then i woke up starving at 3am and had a date cookie. i didn't even botherlogging food yesterday.
back on track today though.

phat = pretty hot and tasty
Yeah, it's meant as a compliment.
I'm old but have a teenager, it allows me to keep up because her friends actually speak to me. She does sometimes too.

I've heard that term and knew it was spelled that way but I didn't know it was an acronym. Never too old to learn something new.

yeah phat means hot. Remember that movie meet the parents.. and when Ben stiller is in the brothers room and he says 'oh lil Kim, she's phat' and then he says 'p-h-a-t phat' and Denny is just like 'whatever dude!'
i love that movie
Gymgirl : its good to take a break from fitday now and again. And it sounds like you had a good food day.
I hate mondays at work too. I really wanted to ring in sick today just because! But i don't do that ever... Since i started this job ive only taken two sick days and they were for my wisdom teeth op! Im too much of a good girl

i too had heard it but wasn't 100% sure what it meant. I had no idea it was a acronym either. i just thought it meant big/good or something...but i never know how people use words and some words don't mean the same thing as they did a few years ago! just wanted to check because i didn't want to say thank you if he was slamming me. lol
minime i never call in sick either unless i am really really sick. mondays are awful...15 min to go then off to the gym!

felt totaly drained when i got to the gym. thought about skipping the run and going straight to the WOD
cardio:
3 mile run
800m warm-up, 6.5
400m at 7.6, 400m at 6.5
400m at 7.7, 400m at 6.5
400m at 7.8, 400m at 6.5
400m at 7.9, 400m at 6.5
400m at 8.0, 400m at 6.5
stretched and foam rolled for 10 min or so
warm-up:
push press: 20x10, 30x8, 45x2
SHDP: 20x10, 30x5
workout:
Three rounds for time of:
Row 1000 meters (sub 100 SDHP per roud, 30#)
95 lb Thruster, 21 reps (sub, 45#)
time: 17:11
round 1: SDHP: 40/20/20/20, thrusters: 7/7/7
round 2: SDHP: 20/20/20/20/20, thrusters: 11/10
round 3: SDHP: 20/20/20/20/20, thrusters: 7/9/5
oh my goodness. this was so hard. i think this was the sweatist i have been after a WOD in a long time. i made a puddle where i was doing the SDHP's. and was huffing and puffing like crazy. our gym needs a C2 ASAP! my glutes and anterior delts were on fire. took my HR again after this and was at 140BPM which again seems low for a workout like this. anyway, i'm so glad this time it wasn't topped off with 30 pull-ups.
oh i got one of the nicest compliments at the gym today. this guy i see a couple times a week was there. he normally comments when i am with my trainer. he always says my trainer tortures me... today he said, i just want to tell you, you really bust your butt in here and it is really impressive, inspiring and fun to watch. i blushed (well as much as a brown girl can blush haha) and thanked him for his nice comments. that made my day.

Hey gymgirl... it's been awhile since I've stopped by... I have to agree with the guy from the gym.... your workouts ARE "impressive"!
By the way....Love the quote from pierini....he could almost write his own book.
