I too would look huge at 120 : the heaviest ive ever been is 115 and i was in TERRIBLE shape. I drank a lot and ate like crap, and i couldnt get into hardly any of my clothes! I am glad that is behind me now *shudder* though I figure if i am 115 and muscly maybe it will be different.

Great workout GG. Nice consistency with the big numbers.
People are clueless when it comes to guessing weight. Older people generally are better at it because they've seen more. I still can't guess correctly the weight of overwieght people because I have no exerience with it. I would be flattered by all the comments you are getting. At work, people thinking you weigh less means they think you are in good shape. People at the gym thinking you weigh more is means they think you are muscular knowing that muscle weighs more than fat. It's all a good impression all around! No one is hurting your feelings on purpose.

Thanks Tim, Minime, Pierini, Brat. I honestly was not really worked up, mostly just shocked. Brat, minime I like your reasonings for why people in the gym guess my weight is heavier!
Glad you guys got a chuckle out of the zip code comment...i was laughing too when i typed that.
Minime, it's nice to know that someone understands and is going through what you are going through. I too love putting up PR's and would never want to go back to just being skinny with chicken legs, it just takes adjustment sometimes. The good news is, eventhough my jeans hardly fit anymore (they look painted on in the booty and legs) the waist still fits perfectly! : I like that.
Brat, thank you too. I guess you guys are right. Oh I too am awful at guessing overweight peoples weight and bodyfat for that matter for the same reasons you mentioned.
minime, I'm sorry if I got your 5K time wrong, I can't remember off the top of my head but I know it was very impressive! Oh and "elite" for CFT at our weight is 507, that's one of my goals for 2007. I've got a long way to go. If I took my highest individual scores from random CFT's, I'd be close at 495.

Hi gymgirl,
I haven't had a chance to read your postings for a few days but I finally got the chance to catch up. I enjoy reading your journals because there is always something interesting or fun going on. I love reading magazines but this is cheaper! lol.
First, I want to say 'Congratulations' on your first year anniversary on CF. I enjoyed reading your post about your started out with CF. It’s definitely very motivating.
Second, you look FABULOUS!! I wouldn't worry about the 120lbs. comment because personally, I don't think that's a high number. That seems like a low number to me (but I have a medium frame and I have never been that number in my adult life so to me, it seems small) but like you mentioned, that number seems like a high number to you because you have a small frame. Also, because you train hard and have a very strong physique, people may see you as weighing more than what you really are. When I tell friends what my goal weight is (130-135lbs.) they tell me that it's too small but I don’t think that it is. Everyone seems to have a different perception of body weight and what numbers look like.
Also, I would think that having a butt is a good thing. I would rather have one than be flat or have no shape. I love that there are more women who have more voluptuous figures along with their butts e.g., Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Salem Hayek, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, and Beyonce Knowles just to name a few. So enjoy your booty gymgirl! : )
I think I understand what you are feeling because I'm at a weight that I'm not happy with but a lot of people think that I am 10-15lbs. less than what I am and when I correct them, they tell me that I look 'fine'. I'm starting to hate that word. lol. I can't remember the other person's name who posted but he also mentioned that would like to be 15lbs. less than where he is now so we all struggle with numbers even though it's hard not to think about it.
Lastly, I was thinking of you and Minime while working out last night. I have been working on my workouts and attitude and promised to push myself harder than what I have been doing during the past several months. I noticed that I wasn't giving it my all and last night, I did. I increased my weights on certain exercises and managed to get through it even though I wanted to let go during the last few reps. I remember the numbers that a lot of women posted a while back regarding how strong they were and I was very impressed and motivated to do better. I felt weak compared to where all of you were but I haven't been training as passionately and hard as most of you have but I will get there. It felt good to push myself and finish a tough workout without throwing in the towel half way through because I have several times in the past few months. So thanks gymgirl and the other ladies for your inspiration and motivation.
p.s. Sorry for the small font. I was trying to edit the font size but it wouldn't save.

Hey JoAnne! Glad you stopped by! You know you are right. I want to look like Jessica Biel, so I'll try to remember that when I get frusterated that my clothes aren't fitting me! Thank you!
I'm so gald to hear you pushed your self and went "pedal to the metal". Sometimes it's easier to just do what is comfortable and be done with it, but I think you will see the results you are looking for when you train the way you just described. I'm so proud of you! Keep up the great work, we are here to cheer you on!

CFN Saturday morning class, 8:00am
warm-up:
bw squats
modified CF warm-up
workout:
4 rounds for time of:
35ft walking lunge, with 15# dumbell overhead, other DB down at side
10 db push-up/renegade rows, 15#
35ft walking lunge, with 15# dumbell overhead, other DB down at side
20 kettlebell swings, 12kg (26#)
time: 12:40
about 12-15 people today in class. Everyone was super nice. Dave was out of town so we had a different trainer who was also great. He demonstrated everthing first, then we were off. I finished second (20 sec or so) behind a very fit guy. I was drenched. After that if you wanted more people randomly did farmers walks around the building.
400m farmer's walk: (2) 16kg, 36# kettlebells. ouchie. I set those KB's down quite a bit. Luckily this wasn't timed, my forearms were killing me.
It's so nice being done with my workout by 9am!

great workout gymgirl! That is so cool that you were second in the class! Sweet, done by nine am.. that is the best thing about morning workouts! The worst thing... the insatiable hunger that follows for the day!

Looks like a good CF workout, gymgirl!
Quick question though: what are db pushups/renegade rows?

It was more fun then I expected. I've never been a fan of group classes. I like the personal 1 on 1 time, kinda how I am socially too. Would rather spend QT with a few friends as opposed to going to a large party with tons of people. Anyway it was a great motivator, Glassman is right, the way to motivate people is to put their names up on a whiteboard and say 3-2-1-GO!
Tim, surprisingly my core is not what is sore, but i have serious DOMS in my shoulders! They were right right after that WOD, and it was tough to keep my arms up on the steering wheel of the car. That is one workout that looks much easier on paper...
midgetcop- db push-up/renegade rows. put dubmells on the floor, hands on top of db's and do a push-up. once you are in the starting postion again, you do a single arm dumbell row with each arm that is one rep, then you go back do another push-up, single arm db row each side, there's 2. It really gets your core and shoulders. Here is a picture descption if it helps, really only pics 2-4 apply. it's actually a descprtion of man-makers. those are butt hard too.

minime, yeah i loved being done by 9am, and surprisingly i wasn't too hungry the rest of the day...I am today though!

120 is definitely NOT a high number. I don't think I'll every see 120 again. That was back when I was 15, 16 lol. BUT I was a size 4 at 146lbs. So as hard as it is I try not to focus on weight! I'm at a size 8/10 at 160lbs so...
You look good! I often wish I had an ass. I only have 1 skirt I can wear and people will say hey you actually do have an ass lol.
