i got 57lbs anyway .. but i am thinking if i do this workout at all it will be with the bar only! I cant believe u did 60 for over 100 reps.. you rule!

(x/175)*105

And math and spelling are no indicators of a persons intelligence, or for that fact their ability to attain and maintain a well paying job. I for one am good at math and spelling, but my people skills are non existant. Plus I am terrible at trivia! I cannot play trivial pursuit as it is far too embarrassing.

ahhhh thank you minime! That is the forumula I used! I don't know why I second guess myself. Last week I scaled something, sent it to my friend and he's like 'no that's not right how did you come up with that' then JDR posted the original number I had come up with and I was right! augh!

So yesterday I came up with 56.7 and rounded up to 60#, but got confused when this girl on the CF board scaled her WOD to 75# when she weighed 127. I came up with 68.58 or 70# for her. I should just stop second guessing myself, as it appears I have been scaling properly all along.

p.s. some blonde almost hit me yesterday on my drive home. The idiot was too busy messaging on her sidekick to see me in the next lane, she swirved back when I honked then decided to ride my ass. Finally I moved over let her get infront of me, and guess what frame she had on her license plate? "I'd rather be shopping at Nordstroms".

I may have posted this before...

A blond lady competes in her first swim meet, 100 meter breaststroke, and she comes in dead last. Afterwards she goes up to her coach and complains, "The other girls were using their arms!"

I work at a large university that specializes in engineering and science...and LET ME TELL YOU, working with the faculty and students on a daily basis, they're only smart on paper.

I in no way implied you were dumb. Math/science is a skill, not a barometer of ones intelligence. This skill however is required for technological progress.

That is precisely why BP gave 500 million dollars this year to a couple of universities. The petroleum industry likes to donate money to liberals who cant really work.

comments:
I'm toast. Came in first today by over 2 min, 3rd was 5 min. I think I was a few seconds faster, but Dave was helping someone and didn't realise I was done, took me a good 10 sec to drop and find the stop watch and see the time, so I think actually my time was closer to 15:20 but it is all good. oh during the second round I was so tired I accidenetly grabbed the 24kg kettlebell and noticed 1/2 was through that it was so heavy...then i realised why...haha moved back to my 16kg. They still had scores up from yesterdays class and one of the CF trainers scored in the 14min range! 5 or so people in the 15 min range and the rest 17-23 min. This was an ass kicker. I was on the ground for a good 5 min post WOD. forearms are fried. still hurt 2 hours later. I think I will reward myself with some shopping at Niketown today. Later ya'll.

My Dad was a university professor. He could provide very adequately for his family as a "teacher" and obviously taught a lot of "can do" types along the way. I am proud of him.

BTW the saying goes - "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."

I don't think this would apply to Crossfit trainers though.

Nice workout as always GG. Do you get really sore in the hips after doing a lot of CF work that required "hip-popping" like KB swings? I think my new saying is, "Oh my aching loins of pain!"

Hi gymgirl, that last exercise of your WOD will burn the forearms as you commented. While I've not done it, I've done something similar: KTE followed by a pullup. At rep #8 my forearms were burning. 12 reps is alot, and 3 rounds of that is tough.

Your comment about heading to Nike is a reminder to me to post a photo I took of Nike Roma. Nike has beefed up their advertising in Italy but it appears that Reebock is numero uno.

Enjoy your weekend and your cable TV cooking programs.

Thanks for the clarification Brat.

GG - I still don't know where you get all your energy. I get tired reading what you did.
