You got me inspired, so I did the workout again myself today. 17:31 this time, 45 lb kettlestack.

Nice improvement! What's your limiting factor on these? Seems on these endurance exercises that something always gives out first. how do you like the kettlestack? Have you ever used a fixed weight KB? Comparison? Just don't tell Dan I asked.

Evening:
- 100 burpees in 8:42

I was gonna do some skill work (shadowboxing, positional ground stuff), but I was short on time. Instead I set 43 second PR on my burpee time. It was terribly exhausting, but I think I can do faster next time.

I think the limiting factor was my will, honestly, just like on most of these kind of workouts. I made it "over the hump" and finished the 2nd clean / swing / snatch / press round before I put the bell down, and after that I put it down quite a bit, hurting my time a lot I'm sure. The grip was still o.k., and I know I COULD have gone on even though my heart was beating like a drum - the will just gave out.

I like the kettlestack a lot. I haven't ever tried a fixed weight kettlebell, so I can't really compare, but I can't imagine it would be all that much different. The only thing about the kettlestack is you have to be really carefull when you construct it because any odd projections hurt like a bitch when they bang into your shoulders and arms. It's really important to try to get a round shape. I would imagine that a standard kettlebell would be a lot more comfortable in that respect. Plus I wouldn't want to do any juggling with the kettlestack because if I dropped it I would probably bend the thing. And I really like the fact that it's adjustable - no need to buy multiple, rather expensive hunks of iron.

20:42... you sick bastard. I'm fearing having to sit on the toilet, I may never get up and end up like this woman: http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...28/1009/NEWS07. Somewhere around 200 I started thinking it was impossible and that the burn in my quads was too much, but a large part of these endurance exercises is a mental battle. Big thanks to tim and dan so far for pushing me further than I would go alone.

And just so one day I can actually do your entire challenge as posted, I also did 10 back neck bridges, each held for 10 seconds. I'll build this up over time.

I finished up with 15 minutes of static stretching. My side split is actually starting to make some real progress.

My legs are still killing me, especially going down stairs. But, on the bright side, I'm leaving for Italy! See you guys in 2 weeks!

Short rests between all exercises, less than a minute. I alternated each pair of exercises to allow for recovery without adding to workout time.

HSPU - 0x6x2, 0x5
Pistols - 0x5, 0x3, 12x4, 53x1
Pullups - 0x10x4
One hand KB Swings - 53x15x3
Hang Cleans - 135x3x2, 155x3, 165x3
KB Guard Press - 53x10x3

The guard press is kinda like a mix between a one handed KB floor press and a 1/4 turkish getup. You use your chest, triceps, shoulders, and core to launch the KB from the bottom position as explosively as possible.

21-15-9 with 24kg KB snatch (each side) and burpees in 11:19.

That sucked. I took 30+ seconds to rest after the 21 and 15 sets of burpees. I thought I was gonna pass out. I know I can knock some time off of that as my snatches get cleaner.
