You are getting to the dojo regularly now and that is nice to read. You must like the chemistry there. I recall the people there being friendly the couple of times I trained there.

Keep your guard up - you never know.

Warmed up with some stretches and a set of sit ups

P.C.F.S.P.P.
2x4:65 2x3:85 2x2:95

Pull Ups 8, 6, 4

The dojo is going well. A couple of things I don't agree about (they leave out punches, convinced it gives more power) but I keep my mouth shut. Still can't figure out to move fast/well with my tailbone under me the whole time. It's like being in hangetsu stance always.

So don't. Just do it sincerely when the teacher is telling you to, certainly not when you are in front of someone going at it.

Every so often:

"Sensei/senpai, how'm I doing? I think I'm getting the hang of tucking my hip. It really seems to work. Thanks for showing me. Does it look better?"

"Do I got it? Do I got it?"

Let them leave their punches out. At least you know they aren't hitting you again with it. It makes it easier to grab or block. Pull yours back and hit 'em (controlled, please) twice with it, or three times same hand, or more.

Don't forget your roots, boy - Karate Using Cheating!

Good luck.

Warmed up with 4 sets of sit ups till exhaustion, done consecutively with 10secs rest between.

Pull-ups 15, 3

Dips 24, 11

Chin ups 7, 4

Atlas push ups 17, 11

15 is a new PR for me on pull ups.

Thanks for the advice TomG. By the way, there is an iconic heavy metal musician who goes by the name Tom G. Warrior. Control means a little less than hard as I can, right? Sorta like slow means slightly less than fast a I can?

Congrats on the pullup PR. We are even right now on that one but I'm sure only for a moment. You'll be moving up with that count.

Keep the pedal to the metal!

Warmed up with stretches and walk to gym (.5 mile one way)

Bench Press- 1x5:135 1x8:155 2x5:185 1x3:185

Incline Press- 3x10:115

Squats- 1x8:135 2x8:185 1x8:205

Thanks on the dips and Pull ups encouragement! I think though, that the reps are do to my weight loss from less food (school=less time for food) than any strength gain.

Careful on the squats. Make sure your form with the heaviest is as good as it is at 135. If not, don't go up.
