December 06

Running
- Ran around Lake Merritt in 24 min. The distance around the sidewalk path is 2.7 miles.

Did 100 situps and 100 pushups as a warm up

Stretched after

Lake Merritt as really devoted runners. It seems that there always people along either the dirt path or the sidewalk running at all times of the day. Even today it was raining and I saw lots of runners and a running group too.

December 15

Warmed up with a jog to gym, stretched out

PCFSPP- 3x8-65

Dips- 50 reps in appx. 2.5-3 mins. the clock didn't have a second hand, I didn't know exactly when I started.

Gcs118- I'm trying to focus my workouts to develop better initial explosion from a standstill, for martial arts purposes, and emphasize overall body exercises.

Tommorow is my birthday and I'm going to the Raiders game! We'll be playing the Colts and I'm excited to see JaMarcus Russell play!

That's a very good dip performance.

I know I will forget so I better say it now - happy birthday and have fun at the game.

Have you checked out any of those other dojos?

Did a karate workout last night at a dojo in Richmond. Great location for me, it is a mile from the nearest BART station and a short bike ride. Only two stops up from school.

Gcs118-It is a Shotokan dojo so there were minor differences from that and what I have been training in, Gosuku-Ryu. The hip position is slightly different, they really emphasize keeping your hips forward at all times so that your tail bone is forward the whole time.

I really liked it, thought I felt a bit awkward trying to adjust my stance to the different style.
