Karate workout in the morning, CF in the afternoon.
CFWU x 2 -situps
" Kelly"
Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters: 7.5x3 - 7.0 - 6.5
30 Box jump, 24 inch box: all 15/15
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball: all 15/15
Time 42:37 - (5:38-8:16-9:15-10:11-9:15)
Not 100% today ,but completed and feel good about that. Got to use my homemade 20 pound ball and what a big differences from the 12!
It was Crossfit family day for us. My son did the above but at 15 reps and with a 12 pound ball, and my Wife did 15 reps with 12 inch box and 6 pound ball. Both a sweaty mess, good to see! I think my Wife is going to start doing more CF workouts in place of her usual cardio and weights.

LOL...ain't that the truth!
Good work as always. What do you mean a few posts above when you say...

Cleans are still Power/squat, still not that low.
|
As I understand it, a "Power" clean means that you don't do the front squat portion of the lift. You take the weight from the floor, accellerate it up and catch it at the shoulders - period. Maybe you mean a "Hang" clean, which means start standing, but do drop into the front squat?

Tim, they were (squat)clean and jerks, I was just trying to say that my technique is not that good and need to get lower on the squat portion of the lift. Probable not the best way to describe it. Something between a power and a squat on the depth. The warm up OHS are definitely helping my flexibility though.
The 20 pounder really got the heart pumping!

Please tell Mrs. JDR3 that this Discuss Fitness Moderator welcomes her to join us by creating her own Online Journal. I think she'll fit right in. We all know the power of our journaling, the feedback from others, and the sense of community. There would be a lot of people here privately cheering for her.
Let me know what she thinks of this idea.
Osu!

3 mile walk with the Wife and dog this morning
Afternoon workout (I took today off from work)
Biked to gym
CFWU x 1
Five rounds for time of:
75 pound Sumo deadlift high pull, 21 reps - 21 - 15/6 - 11/10 x 3
12 Handstand push-ups: sub 100 pound standing press with no leg drive
12 - 6/6 x 2 - 5/4/3 - 6/6

Smith machine was being used so no assisted HSPU's this time. The 100 lb. press was a good weight.
My Wife did the above but with 30 lb. SDHP and 30 lb. standing press
Time 14:30
She's starting to see and feel why I'm so tired after these WOD's.

When I read this WOD I immediately thought of you.
Very, very impressive. You are a big shot puller, no doubt about it.
