workout- 4/29
Karate this morning were Pierini proceeded to kick me around the dojo. Took yesterday off after the 50's, so doubled up on the WOD's today.
At the gym at 4 pm:
CFWU x 3
Plus double under practice
Three rounds for time of:
Clean 135 pounds, 15 reps
21 Double unders
Time: 24:22
Cleans were more power clean than squat cleans( I go as low as I can, I'm very tight in the ankles. No excuses just the way it is.)
First time I was able to do DU's. Had 2 or 3 singles in between each double, best set without miss was 9.
15 min rest
Back Squat 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps
225-255-275-315-335-335-335
1:30 between sets
I put 5 lb plates under my heels and go as low as possible. Plates definitely help.

Pain sucks. As our friend firehawk used to say though, "pain is weakness leaving the body". Therefore we must occasionally endure it.

Didn't mean to leave you out on the above post. Plenty of pain on last 3 squats today.

Run 400 meters-- at 1% incline: 9.0 - 9.0 - 8.5
1 1/2 pood Kettlebell X 21 swings ( 55 pound dumbbell swing)
12 Pull-ups
Time: 16:18
Rd 1: 4:30

Rd 3: 6:22
First time I did "Helen" time was 18:03. Pullups this time were much faster.

Wow! A pair of 9.0 mph 400 meters on that WOD is impressive. You are now ready to join me for some hill repeats one Saturday on Serrano. Attack the hill for 1 minute up, then turn around and walk one minute down for recovery. 6-10 repeats should do the job. Let me know when it's good for you.

Gotta have those priorities. Sometimes our youngins just have to come first. I've had to miss a few workouts here and there because one of my girls was cheering, playing softball, basketball, or whatever. Call it a rest day then kick butt next time like you did with "helen". :

You're right, I feel bad about missing the workout but its worth it, they grow up so quickly. And it does make you get after it next time in.

Wow, man! That's a really good time on Helen. Did you do the swings as an unbroken set?

The first 2 rds were unbroken, the last was 11/10, and that last 400 run was very tough.
