Hey Big Guy, sorry to hear that you had the "squirts". Missed you on Saturday. Maybe that was the rest you thought you needed. I'm sure you'll come back strong, fast and hungry. Glad you are back in the saddle.

Thanks Pierini, it wasn't good and that may be understating it. Good job on the "Hill" last Sat.
11-6
Biked to gym
CFWU x 2 -dips,pullups
Five rounds for time:
Run 1/4 mile: 1% on treadmill @ 7.5 - 7.6 - 7.7 - 7.8 - 8.0
85 pound thrusters, 12 reps
Time 17:56
Today was suppose to be deadlifts, but with just getting over being sick I didn't what to(or feel like) lifting heavy.

JDR3 - I am beginning to think that everyone who is doing Crossfit must have an incredible amount of endurance. 15 pull-ups and 25 squats. Geez.
Is the squat body weight? If yes, do you ever want to put weights in the workout to increase the intensity?

Hi Laura, The squats are body weight. The last two rounds of squats were burners.
I have been CrossFitting since Feb. and can say my endurance has increased tremendously along with my mental toughness. To be honest I have a ways to go before I start adding weight to the workouts.

I agree..."as rx'ed" is plenty intense enough as it is. None of those workouts are easy, period.

I actually find it very hard to do bodyweight squats! because i am used to doing them with weight on shoulders, doing BW only squats are tough especially balance wise!
that is a great time for the seven rounds workout.

can i get an amen to that?! i couldn't imagine adding weight to bodyweight only squats. i see some CFer's like to do workouts like 'cindy' with a weighted vest on...
minime i agree on the balance thing. first few times doing bw squats i would almost fall over!

Good workout. Have not mentioned lately but my oldest son has been working out 3 days a week CF style. Tonight we workout together(He usually goes after school). He is 5' 11" - 215 - 16yrs
His squats went: 225 - 245 - 275 - 285 - 225
He is still working on reg. pullups so he did assisted for Lynne, don't have his numbers for it but he did a good job.
My 13yr just finished football and will start crossfitting next week with me so it will be fun to see now he does. And yes, we will start slow and light. And probably half wod's.
