.25 mile walk and practice jumping bar muscle ups for warmup at the
elementary school

Three rounds for time:
12 Muscle-ups: sub jumping bar mu's - bar at nose height
30 Back extensions
Run 400 meters

Time 16:47
First rd of mu's was the toughest. After that the shoulders were warmed up
and the other two rds went much smoother. Happy to get the workout in.

A big guy like you hanging out at the elementary school hogging the bars doing your muscle ups must have been scary for the little kids. I can see mommies telling their children to stay away, then going home and looking on their computers for that website that lists registered predators.

Nice job. I've never tried muscle ups at all like you are doing them. I should.

If I remember, muscle ups are like pullups but without full ROM so the tension never leaves the shoulders and back - correct?

Looks hard, and with that 400M run in there, very hard.

Nice work.

Nope Andy. Muscle ups are done on rings, you pull up then press up to a lockout like a gymnast would do. Regular folks like JDR, you and me do them on a pullup bar with the assist of a jump.

Oh my. That's harder than I thought. Very impressive. I learned to do pullups on rings, but never went higher than my chest.

Thanks guys

Pierini, you would have no problem doing the jumping bmu's and I would think you would do them with the bar higher than height.

Good double WOD. That must have felt good since it has been difficult to get them in lately. Keep the pedal to the metal!

Tim, runs were 9.0-9.1-8.5 last time and pullups weren't as broken.
I should have checked my last effort but forgot to.
