Good increasing running times on those rounds. It doesn't take much to clear the sludge out of them arteries.

Karate workout

8/29
Biked to Park

With a continuously running clock do one muscle-up the first minute, two muscle-ups the second minute, three muscle-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able. I subbed Jumping bar muscle-ups.

5 min + 5
Bar was 6 feet which is 3 or 4 inches higher than my usual.
I thought I would do a little better than I did but it got tough quick.

Biked over to gym
CFWU x 2

400 meter Walking lunge

Time 20:17
Ouch! 340 lunges
Did them out behind the gym in the ally way
As a side note it was 104 here today, bike ride home was no fun!

That's so odd, you have such a strong press and bench but have a hard time with dips. Is it something about the angle that hurts your shoulder or something?

Tim'
Hurt my shoulders doing benchpress many years ago(didn't warmup properly).
A lot of it is the angle thing but I think I have some tears in them that
one dayI will get checked. For now I just try to be careful with them.
Hurt them again back in Feb. doing dips so I'm cautious about them.
They feel great now so will try to make slow gains. Things that kill them
are lateral raises, front raises, and incline benchpress. Will not go near the
incline bench ever, but will do light raises from time to time(10 lb max).

Good job on "Helen".

I remember the first and only time I did Helen. I did all my DB swings unbroken with the prescribed weight because I just didn't want to expend the energy required to put that darn DB down and have to pick it up again. That sure drained me when it was time to bang out the pullups. I couldn't believe how hard they were to do.

Maybe one day I'll charge myself up and do it again, but until then I can relive "Helen" through you and reading your posts.
