First workout in 8 days - no CF or Karate.
Lower back and groining on the right side had been very irritated and workouts weren't helping so decided to bag it for a while.

Didn't want to bend all the way down so no Linda.
Made my own wod.

8 rounds for time:
400 meter run: 6.8 - 6.9 - 7.0x6
10 reps; Bench press: 135 - 145 - 155 - 165x5
10 reps; Hang Power Cleans: 90 lbs

Time 40:31

That's what happens when you start getting old. Bummer, but good rest is sometimes the best.

Hope to see you on Saturday.

hey jdr, hope you are feeling better! I'm sure you were in need of the rest. It is often difficult to take rest time, and it would seem that our bodies will eventually force it upon us.

You will come back stronger than ever

sorry to hear about your back JDR. Looks like you played it smart and took some rest time.

Great job on Fran, and your made-up WOD looks brutal!

Hang Power Clean and Jerk 3-3-3-3-3-3 reps
95 - 115 - 135 - 145 - 155 - 135

Still not lifting from the floor. 155 jerk was easy, HPC 155 was good for today.

Football is over for my younger son so he has been back in the gym with me.
Here are his last two workouts.

11/19
"Michael" Lite
Four rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
25 Back Extensions
25 Sit-ups

Time 14:50

11/20
25's
For time:
25 Box jump, 18 inch box
25 Jumping pull-ups
25 25 lbs db swings
Walking Lunge, 25 steps
25 Hanging Leg lifts
25 Push press, 30 pounds
25 Back extensions
25 Thrusters, 20 pound
25 Honest pushups
100 Jump rope, singles

He was wiped out but he smoked this, so next time it comes up he'll go higher, heavier and for 30 reps.
No time - he pushed start but apparently not good enough - he won't make that mistake again, he hopes!

Good job on Helen. I had to go look up in my archive logs the only time I did her back in January. I may never do her again so I'll vicariously live her through you.

The boy did outstanding. Please tell him I said so and that I am proud of him. I'd like to see him do his clean and jerks so I can learn a thing or two from him.

Happy Thanksgiving to no-frills, you and the boys. I'll run extra hard for you during my 10k fun run. Hope to see you on Saturday.
