That's a good mile time warmup.

I really like singles. They remind me of kata training where you try to execute everything with perfection, never satisfied, always knowing that it could have been better, but every now and then one feels like it is pretty close to perfection.

hey i also noticed you did the games deadlift burpee workout! wasn't that brutal?! i did it right after rowing a 5k and my legs mostly quads were destroyed! you did great, did you make it to the games at all? i am so bummed i couldn't go. i'm hearing next year you might have to actually qualify, as people went this year and had to scale. should be interesting. i have to admit im surprised opt didn't pull out another win. speal could have taken it but that clean and jerk workout on sunday really screwed him, poor thing.

Hey Jasahn, just warming up with that 7:28! lol
I want to run a 6: anything on the treadmill and then give it a go on the track.
Might take some time to get it down there though.

Thanks Gg, I knew you would appreciate it! Vacation was great.

Didn't go to the games but it is on my must go see list.

I thought Speal had it, I didn't think anyone could catch him! The guy that won (Jason) is a beast, but when did a clean and jerk become a clean and thruster? They were so picky on standards, but I watched his final workout and I wouldn't have counted most of his reps.
I'm glad you stopped by because I was wondering what your opinion on the clean and jerks was.

hey jdr!

just saw your message to me on the cf comments! i'm not a fan of the clean and thruster, i hear ya on that. in the rules dave castro apparently said it was ok to do clean and thruster, but i think that's kinda lame. clean and jerk should be separate movements ya know? oh well, ya that dude was a beast and i too thought speal had it.

i was really rooting for jolie to win it again, she's probably the most well rounded athlete, those girls in the top 3 all had to be over 135#.

i can't imagine chest to bar on those pull-ups on fran...ouch. did you see almost everyone added about 2 min to their fran times?

Hey Gg, thanks for checking back!
I didn't think you would be a fan of the clean/thruster.

I've tried those chest to bar pullups...............I don't think so!
I could only do singles, for about 4 reps.
Fran is a whole new ball game that way!

Jolie will be better prepared next year. I like her and hope she can win it again.
