yup the couch is no fun and a painful experience too.
last night while my wife was watching t.v. i did:
1 round of:
35 wall ball shots (used 20# ball)
15 pull ups
2 rounds of:
68 wall ball shots (used 10# ball- my 20#er got a hole in it)
15 pull ups
for time 3 rounds of:
10 deadlifts (145#)
400 meter run
my time was 12'37"
front squats:
115x5
125x5
130x5
140x5
150x5
cleans:
150x5
160x5
170x5
180x5
185x5
halos:
45#x50 per side

thanks JDR3. I'm trying.
group squats 1-7 (we each take turns doing the reps. however, while you wait to take your turn you are in the bottom position and you can't go until the previous person says that their done. my students only got to 7 and had to stop.)
front squats:
125x5

cleans:

7 rounds for time:
10 squat pulls at 75#
10 dips
my time was 6'52"
halos: 45#- 3x10 each side (right and then left)

15 mins of lunges w/ 25# db and 5 chin ups: totaled 11 rounds
15 mins of 10 sledge hammer swings used 6-8# (that's all we had): totaled 23 rounds.
i'm feeling a little sore today.

? How did that work exactly? How many reps of each? I really like that combination, I think I may do it today for metcon.

tim_mcf- the reps are up to you i used 5 reps for both exercise but you could certainly do more. the objective is when you hit 50 reps (let's 5 rounds of 10)in 15 mins the nxt time you do it you need to increase the weight. the idea is EDT by coach stanly or go to Strength Training, Distance Coaching, EDT - Charles Staley Training Systems. try it. it works and when you find the right weight you should be tired. to find the right weight go low first and play from there. and have fun.

friday and saturday was rest and family time. last night i tried to do a deadlift routine but was unsuccessful. the only thing i got done was good monrings and sled pull. that's aobut it. i will try again tonight.
