20 April 2007
CrossFit!!
Completed 4 rounds of the following:
- 30 wall ball throws/cleans (6lbs)
- 20 burpee/pullups
= 27:32
Doesn't look like much, but this was one of the tougher CF workouts I've done. This was definitely one of those workouts that mess with you mentally more than anything....by round 2 I was already feeling the nausea in the pit of my stomach.
Fun times. One person commented in the middle of it that they felt like a 'sack of sh*t', so I quickly suggested that an appropo name for the workout should be the 'Sack Of Sh*t' WOD.

Nice work midgetcop! I never underestimate the WOD and more. It is just so hard to get through most of them I've tried.
My legs are still fried from my last one Thursday and I see that there is a lot of squat work required in today's plan!
(I'm going anyway)
Glad to see you able to make it a routine again.

Have to go back a few days to update this....
21 April 2007 -- LEGS/BICEPS
Squats:
- bw warmup x 10, 45lbs x 10, 65lbs x 10, 75lbs x 8, 85 x 6
Calk Raises:
- 60lbs x 10, x 8, x 7
...it ended up being a really lousy workout because I wasn't feeling well. I've been getting over a virus for what feels like FOREVER now, and I didn't really push my legs and I ignored my biceps altogether. If there's one thing I'm starting to learn, it's to listen to my body.
23 April 2007 -- CHEST/TRICEPS
DB Flat Bench:
- 35lbs (per arm) x 9, 40lbs x 2, 35lbs x 6, x 8 (increase in reps)
DB Incline Bench:
- 35lbs (per arm) x 5, x 4, x 4 (increase in weight)
Cable Flys:
- 35 lbs (per arm) x 5, x, 5, x, 5 (increase in weight)
Dips:
- bw x 6, x 5, x 5
Seated DB Tricep Extention:
- 40lbs x 7, x 7, x 7 (increase in reps)
THOUGHTS:
As you can see my flat bench got a little..er...messed up. I tried for the 40lbs...couldn't make it past 2, and switched back to the 35ers. Ah well. Next time.
24 April 2007 -- CROSSFIT!!
Complete as many of the following in 10 minutes:
- 15 kettlebell swings (12kg)
- 10 burpees
- 5 pullups
..then complete as many of the following in 10 minutes:
- 30 kettlebell swings
- 15 burpees
- 10 pullups
first round = 4
second round = 1.5
Not my greatest performance I felt...maybe I just wasn't feeling it that day. Still kicked the sh*t out of me, and that's what's important. Got some good pics out of that day too, although I'm reminded why I shouldn't wear a tank-top to CF...

That one is just cruel! Get you good and fatigued, then REALLY make it suck!

oooh there she is. I was only seeing the person in the center...girl in blueish tank and guy in grey in the other picture. You look like you are workin' hard! :
I have to say I am glad CFN dosen't take pictures and video while we are working out. I make the most unattractive faces and am usualy completely drenched in sweat. not so good for the eyes. haha I don't know how you and everyone else always look so good while working out!

Yep, that's me in the red tank. I don't mind the pics so much...I kinda like lookin' at myself working hard and all sweaty and stuff. Makes me feel harcore. :P
minime - if we're talking proper pullups, then I'd say I can only do about 5-6 in a set...but at CF I'm doing pullups on the olympic rings where my legs are out and my heels are touching the floor. I'm working my way up to incorporating real pullups into my WODs.
brat - yeah, no one looks to pretty coming out of CF. :P That's awesome that you've jumped on the bandwagon too!

26 April 2007 -- CrossFit!!
Complete as many of the following as you possibly can....
- pullups (olympic rings)
- pushups
(did as many as possible per set alternating back and forth)
....my instructor and I did this together, and the original plan was to keep going until we physically couldn't do anymore, but after 20 minutes we decided to call it a day when we realized that we probably could have kept going for another half hour doing 2-3 reps per set....
= 92 pullups
= 142 pushups
BWA. Freakin' awesome.
