thanks pierini, I feel that I am getting my 'running legs' back! I am excited about summer running.
I have put in an application for the New York City Marathon, I applied because my brother and uncle are both running, and I feel that if ever I am to take part in such a horrible event, it should be with family
I am not sure what the odds of getting in are (it is a lottery), erik and I both entered so perhaps one of us will get in (hopefully him, ha ha)

Monday June 2nd
Warmup CFWU, clean 55x5, 65x3
WOD for time
85# clean, 10 reps
50 GHD situps
85# clean, 8 reps
40 GHD situps
85# clean, 6 reps
30 GHD situps
85# clean, 4 reps
20 GHD situps
85# clean, 2 reps
10 GHD situps
25:22
aaah, it was horrible, horrible I say! Full squat cleans at 85# are HARD. I really struggled through the cleans, each one was done as a single effort, no touch and go it was simply too heavy.
This morning my knees feel funny, kind of weak from the cleans. Shoulders feel tired. This one really took a lot out of me!

thanks jdr! it was hard.
Tuesday June 3rd
Warmup CFWUx2, L-sit practice, run 0.5mile @7mph
Kelly
5 rounds for time
400m run
30 box jumps (20")
30 wall balls 14#
30:41 (PR)
yippee for me! I really pushed hard for a PR in this, especially in the last round. the last 30 wall balls I did quickly despite huge fatique... burning legs etc. I collapsed in a heap right after and lay there for 5 minutes, leaving a cute little sweat angel behind This took a lot out of me and I don't want to see it again for a while! getting under 30 minutes will be really tough.
Skipped the snatch due to yesterdays cleans, and also due to just not being able to do them really!
feel like crap the last week or so, really tired/low energy. Not enough food? I doubt it though I am not tracking. And my waist is one inch bigger than usual right now. If I hadn't just had my period I would think I might be pregnant lol... except my boobs are not getting bigger !!!
ok i think that falls into TMI category

Congrats on that PR minime.
I do think you did cross the TMI line but you are among cyberspace friends so feel safe and rest assured that so long as you are not growing genital fat you'll be fine!

Thanks pierini and JDR! I think Kelly is one of my strongest WODs.
Wednesday June 4th
Warmup 2x10 situps, back extensions, ohs
5 strict pullup/5 chinup (mostly singles, i suck)
ring dip practice I got a FULL dip hands to armpits practically!
l-sit 18 seconds
Deadlift sets of 3
135-145-155-165-175(PR)
"Cindy on Steroids"
AMRAP in 20mins
15 pullups
30 pushups
45 squats
4 rounds + 15 pullups +7 pushups
Comments A bit bummed about the WOD, i was hoping for 5 rounds but the pushups were killing me! So weak, they sucked up all my time. The 175x3 DL is i think a PR for reps, it felt REALLY heavy.

thanks pierini! Hope you are enjoying your weekend
Thursday June 5th
Warmup situps, squats, jump rope, stretching, back squat 45x5, 95x5
Back Squat
5x5x115lb
Did some l-sit practice and double unders in rest periods.
That was it! short and sweet (and light) for me, fourth day in a row working out and I sure felt it. Tight back from deadlifts, sore chest (REALLY sore) and shoulders, meant I was doing absolutely no upper body work and also not pushing it on squats.
Rest day today, heading down to Cape Cod for the weekend tonight, so no gym until monday.

yeah true.. I never really considered that anything in excess can turn into something stored
I just am learning all of these new things and I want to make sure I grasp them and not just memorize them as I know the majority of questions from clients will always be the same things over and over, questions about food, spot reduction and losing weight hahha

Talia, don't overanalyze, there is no one number of protein grams that is perfect for you. Just take care to get some protein at each meal, some fat, plenty of veg & fruits, keep bad carbs to a minimum... no need to freak out if you don't get the same number every day. Approx 100g protein, 50+ g fat, and fill in with carbs (mostly veg & fruit) til your reach your calorie goal. If you get 80g protein one day and 105 the next it is not a big deal. Your body will take care of it.
Friday June 6th Complete rest day, headed down to cape cod for weekend
Saturday June 7th 2hr bike ride, half trails/half road.
100 pushups
100 squats
4 beers, too much cake
Sunday June 8th
830am ~4 mile run in 34 minutes
50 pushups
50 squats
bike riding around neighbourhood
gigantic late breakfast : 2 eggs, ham, home fries, raisin toast & pancakes
good weekend, i was quite active though I ate a ton! Had a great time.
On saturday morning my friend said, drop and give me twenty and I did! 20 full range chest-to-floor pushups in a single set, I was very happy! Continued throughout the day with sets of ten at random intervals.

Your weekend trip to Cape Cod brought back pleasant memories for me of the year in which our family spent 4 weeks there in 1989, staying with in-laws in Lexington. I specifically remember a day at Martha's Vineyard on what had to be the best weather day I have ever experienced. It was absolutey beautiful as was the drive there. Air fare was cheap that year as I remember we paid $176 each, roundtrip for the 4 of us from Sacramento to Boston and back.
Thanks again for helping bring back that pleasant memory.

thanks minime! you always seem to be there when I need a reality check with a slap in the face haha!!
I find it harder to figure out what to eat now that I am not eating meat or fish but my vegan friend from work is brining me some cook books and I am really excited because I know there are so many different kinds of meals for me out there~ well balanced and filling!

Pierini, I am glad I helped bring back some nice memories for you! What with you getting so old now, soon you won't be able to remember your name never mind your vacations! he he he
Talia, you are funny because you are completely crazy much like myself. I think it is a woman problem, we are doomed to continuously worry about single pound gains on the scale, and eating too many calories.
As long as you continue to eat eggs & dairy you will do just fine for protein, if you decide to switch to vegan I suspect you will have a tougher time. Besides which, it doesn't hurt the cows to give you milk, buy organic/naturally raised dairy products.
Monday June 9th
Warmup CFWUx2
Thruster 5x5
45-55-60-65-70
WOD
10 rounds for time:
12 burpees
12 pullups
26:58
ooh this turned out to be a lot tougher than i thought, pullups were killing my hands and totally killed my time. Oh well. Happy to just make it through, though I was thinking more along the lines of sub-20 before i started!
happy with thrusters, before 65# felt SOOOO heavy and now it just feels sort of heavy, so hopefully I will be able to complete Fran next time it comes up in a reasonable time! (10 minutes would be awesome, but I'd settle for 15)
we are experiencing a heatwave here in Boston, at 8am this morning it felt like 90 degrees already.

VEGAN?!@? haha no, I don't think being vegan is for me, being a vegetarian which I am pretty sure I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian because I still eat eggs...too many damn names to keep up with.
Anyways, June 4th is when I stopped eating fish..SOoo..since then I have averaged 99grams of protein...although I have averaged 72 grams of fat!!! :O goodness gracious!
P.S. nice push-ups! every since I have been doing them pretty much everyday they are getting to be so much easier!!! I actually love them now! before I dreaded them! now I dread pull-ups hahaha
