MonStar's Journal: Dedication
Need to get more dedicated.
I am going to keep my training pretty simple, along with my diet, any my supplements outside of my binging.
Thanks for checking out my journal. "Dedication," by the way, is what I am going to need to focus on to stop the binging. I have never had such a problem like this in my entire life---where I don't even know how to begin to stop.

Congrats on taking the first step, dude. Good for you. Just out of curiosity, what'd you eat?
Now go lift!

stencil- What did I eat? LOL, the question is what didn't I eat? When I binge, unfortunately it's gotten out of control,I will eat anything and everything for hours and hours and hours without stopping. Go from McDonald's to Taco Bell to Ben & Jerry's to chips to cookies to cake to nachos to soda to candy bars, etc. I literally DOES NOT stop until I am so close to throwing up I just feel so so sick. It has gotten so much worse lately and I have no idea why. All I know is that I feel AWFUL the next day, and it's just getting so out of control. I don't know what else to do, except seek therapy or some kind of counseling. My parents can't figure out why I just can't eat moderately, and be satisfied. It's so frustrating, and it needs to stop.

Wow dude, that's intense. I think you're making the right move by seeing a therapist. Make an appointment ASAP. You can overcome this.

Jen- Thanks, appreciate the e-mail, the nicest thing that has happened to me in a while. I just really need to get my sh*t together as you know. I have talked to you about how bad binging really effects me, it's just awful. Hopefully this stupid binging will stop soon---and I will start making some real progress.
stencil- Yeah, I am going to try and make an appointment in the next few days. We'll see. My parents think I should try one FINAL time to stop the binging, and if I absolutely cannot control it, start with therapy and go from there, but we'll see.
Arith- Thanks man, and as always I will have all of my progress here in my journal. Going to keep this journal this time around, not going to get rid of it and start another again and again, etc.
But anyway...
Back day!
Pretty good workout today I think, going to be training completely instinctively from here on out. Not going to mess around complicating things with this kind of split, and this specific rep scheme, etc. Going to train moderate-volume, and just focus strictly on progression. In the future I would love to hit a triple BW deadlift, among other things.
T-Bar Rows
2 Plates x 10
3 Plates x 8
4 Plates x 8
5 Plates x 6
6 Plates x 4!
4 Plates x 13!
Nice PR's here today! Feelin' damn good. Nice to hit over 300 lbs. for 4 reps. No complaints there.
BTW plates = 45's.
CG Pulldowns:
170 x 10
185 x 8
200 x 8
215 x 5
Crossbench DB Pullovers:
90 x 8
100 x 6
110 x 4!
80 x 15
Lats were pretty toasted. Right shoulder is bothering me some, nothing some good ol' glucosamine chondroitin shouldn't fix, though. Hit some pretty decent PR's here today. So no complaints thus far. Can't decide what to do in the gym tomorrow. Probably some deadlifts, and legs, maybe.
Diet- Not bad at all today, so far I think I am up to like 2,800 calories or something. Not going to track every single meal anymore, I am sick of being anal about my diet. Going to eat clean, period. Definitely need some more godd*mn water.
Sleep- 8.5 hours last night, then another nap for 30 minutes today. Been tired lately, I don't know why.
BTW, today at the gym I weighed 224 lbs. Holding some water without a doubt, along with some flab from the past 2 nights of crazy binges.

Hi Monstar, thats an interesting variation on the Tbar Rows, since i workout at home ill have to give them a try. Question though, that guys form looks odd to me, is it correct? It looks like he pulling the bar into his crotch...

Arith- Actually man that guy's form is pretty similar to mine I think. I kind of sit back a little more though, and stick my chest out more I think. And it doesn't look like he is using the v-bar attachment that I use.
Jen- Yeah, that t-bar setup isn't the cleanest setup in the whole world, but it definitely gets the job done! It rips the hell outta' my midback area and lats. As long as I use a good full ROM, etc.
Amy- Yeah, that's exactly how I feel actually, I feel like I am trying to stop something like smoking. Last night I wanted to binge SO BAD, but I stopped myself---thank God! Hang in there, we can stop these bad habits together.
Legs!
Good workout this morning I think, started off with some conventional pulling, I want to really strengthen my conventional deadlift. Would love to eventually hit 6 plates on each side conventional, that would be great. I have a tendency to SLDL the weight though, rather than sink down and use my quads.
Conventional Deadlifts:
135 x 8
225 x 6
315 x 4
405 x 2
500 x 3!
Huge PR here today! I might have even been able to get 4 with 500, definitely feeling good. Hamstrings and glutes was where I really felt it.
Leg Presses:
16 Plates x 10
18 Plates x 8
20 Plates x 6
22 Plates x 4!
Nautilus Leg Extensions:
Stack x 10
Stack x 10
Stack x 10
Dropset-
Stack x 8
210 x 8
170 x 6
Leg ext. really wiped me out. My quads were on f*cking fire, holy sh*t. Another big PR on the leg press with 22 total plates, 11 on each side for 4. Not too bad if I do say so myself.
Diet- So far so good I think. Yesterday though, I was pretty much DYING to binge, I have no idea why. Fought the urge though, and went to bed. Definitely the smart thing to do.
Want to add in here real quick just how much I ate today. Ate peanut butter toast and skim milk for breakfast, then my usual workout Gatorade and whey protein. Then over the next few hours had around three half-sandwiches, then had chicken & vegetables with white rice, then a 4" turkey & cheese sub, about another half gallon of skim milk and some peanut butter. Even though all of this was generally clean---it was still a lotta' food!
Sleep- 8 hours.
Today I weighed 221 lbs. at the gym.

Nothing ghetto about those rows, that's how I prefer to do them, even though it irks the folks at the gym. I can't wait to get my dungeon setup again.
