HEAVY BENCH, Sunday, December 4, 2005
Bench Press (Pinkies On Rings) 10 x 45 lbs, 5 x 95 lbs, 4 x 135 lbs, 1 x 155 lbs, 1 x 185 lbs, 3x3 @ 215 lbs, 1 x 235 lbs
Flat DB Press 3 x 80 lbs, 6 x 75 lbs
Tricep Pushdowns 10 x 150 lbs, 10 x 150 lbs
Lateral Raises 10 x 35 lbs
Front Raises 10 x 35 lbs

Notes: Damn what an exhausting day. I was ready to leave after flat benching. It took absolutely everything I had, went lighter on everything else cuz I had no energy. These weekends of partying really take it out of me. I have videos of 3x215 and 1x235 I'm gonna post up later today hopefully. Oh yeah...on the bench, I had the worst hand offs I've EVER had. At least he listened when I said don't touch the bar unless it starts going down when it's not supposed to lol. So the reps were all me, but the hand offs were hideous! Hopefully the videos show it lol. As a result of the bad hand offs, my form was pretty crappy.

Good shows you are strong. Now 225 gonna start feeling light real soon. If you keep it up 2 weeks away you'll be repping 225.

I added them. Very cool dude and you had a bad diet and terrible handoff. I'd say you got plenty more in ya still .

Yeah I'd say with a good night's sleep, good nutrition and a good hand off I could have easily done more.

BACK, Monday, December 5, 2005
BORs 10 x 45 lbs, 10 x 115 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 155 lbs, 10 x 175 lbs
Chin Ups BWx9, BWx6
Seated Cable Rows 10 x 100 lbs, 10 x 110 lbs, 6 x 120 lbs
Static Holds 10 sec x 225 lbs, 2x10 sec @ 315 lbs, 2x10 sec @ 365 lbs

Notes: Worthless day. I almost didn't go because I'm so tired and worn out. I usually go in the early afternoon too, but tonight it was pretty late. Just did high rep stuff, and still the numbers sucked. No way I could have gone heavy. The 225 hold was an attempt at the hook grip. I don't think I did it quite right because my thumbs didn't hurt. I put my thumb parallel with the bar, then wrapped my other fingers around it. All other holds mixed grip.

Off completely would be sometime in August or early September. I was considering just taking a week off. We'll see how I feel the rest of this week.

I might. I'm not looking forward to speed bench day, but I think I can handle squats and heavy bench cuz they're so far away. But I'm seriously considering time off.

Generally if you're considering it that means it's time for a break. Listen to your body and give it a rest!! You'll come back just as strong - if not stronger (as if I had to tell you that!)

Yeah I just feel useless when I take time off, as do most addicts. But I'll live

I know what you mean. Working out is one of my favorite things to do and I feel like I'm getting fatter by the second when I stop. I can't even enjoy my meals as much cause they aren't fueling any muscle growth. But hey, you know you're gonna feel better when you get back. Most of the time after a break I come back stronger too. You'll do what's right for you. What's worse, feeling useless taking a break and recovering, or feeling useless in the gym cause your body is wracked and needs a break?
