When I read your post and I had double check to make sure I wasn't reading Firehawk's journal. Great job on that run. Hope to see more.

Flat Bench 10x45, 6x135, 4x155, 4x185, 2x205, 2x225
Dips BWx3, BW+35x3, BW+70x3, BW+105x3, BW+115x1, BWx21
Incline Press 6x135, 6x135, 6x135
Notes: How is my bench decreasing and my dip strength increasing? 115 wasn't even the limit, I just called it a day after a huge PR. Depth was called at 115, too.

Could be that you have more current enthusiasm for weighted dips than bench press. Stay away from the bench for a while until you miss it while you keep working the weighted dips and the bench press-related muscle group. You won't miss a beat and may go back stronger than ever on the bench.
That's my Saturday morning two cents.

Greg, I have no idea why bench would be goinig down while dips are going up, but there is no question that weighted dips are one of the great overall exercises, many say as good as the bench for the chest. I would think that dips would be driving your bench numbers up too. Perhaps it's just too much work? Maybe you should consider following up on Mr P's suggestion of taking some time off, but maybe just a week or two, then reset your bench workout to soemthing a bit lighter since you have stalled and start working your way back up again. When I was motivated and actually cared, this did work for me to hit my new PR's a couple of times.

Thanks pierini and Andy for stopping by...I've definitely got to rethink my bench work. I might do another movement to replace it while I get a program down, or drop the weight and do a new scheme. I'll figure something out...

Great deadlift numbers! I know how frustrating it is when your numbers go down. You could change your reps up a bit or go with DB flat presses for a couple weeks to change it up. Don't worry your numbers will go back up and past your PRs with your hard work.

Deadlifts 5x135, 2x185, 2x225, 1x275, 1x315, 1x385, 3x405, 5x365
Pull Ups 8,4,4
Notes: I think a PR on deadlifts not sure though. Way too tired to rep out 365 as planned. Pull ups sucked but I was exhausted.

Flat Bench 10x45, 6x95, 6x135, 6x185, 7x205
Dips BWx6, BW+35x6, BW+70x6
Tricep Pushdowns 6x130, 6x140, 6x150
Hanging DB OHP 10x30, 8x40
Rotator Cuff
Notes: I've been on vacation so it's been at least 1.5 weeks since I've hit the gym. Bodyweight still around 185 lbs. I will be trying to eat more because I can tell most of what I've lost is fat, and I am increasing cardio and bodyweight work as well. I went to the Cayman Islands, just south of Cuba, for a week. Spent a lot of time snorkeling and scuba diving, and also drinking beer. Amazing vacation, wish I could go back.

We spend the first 5 years of our lives playing and having fun 100% of the time. This conditions and pre-disposes us to liking vacations because we get to play and have fun.
Then we are sent to school for a long journey to be followed by an even longer journey of work. Playing and having fun is harder to come by during these years so when we get a little taste of it and after it is over, it is only natural to wish to go back.
Welcome back to the "real world".

That's a massive deadlift bud. I'm really impressed. Pretty much double mine.
