Well Holy Cow, when did you get an itch to run a distance like that?

Great job!

haha who knows...I've been trying to increase my cardio lately but it's been difficult to stick with. I hope to get back into running and other forms of cardio as frequently as I lift. Thanks pierini, it was a tough run for me.

Deadlifts 3x135, 3x185, 3x225, 1x275, 15x315
BORs 10x135, 10x135, 10x135

Notes: After a few weeks, back to DLs. Kinda pissed I only got 15 reps because even rep 15 shot up, but my cardio kept me back bigtime. Grip was shot after the DLs so BORs were rather pathetic.

That workout would have made me really hungry and guarantee a good night's sleep.

Notes: My legs were completely shot from the swimming workout. I wanted to do a timed mile but my legs felt twice their normal weight.

For the past two days I've gone to the pool, not to swim laps, but to "play around" and play games, which still involves swimming, increased heartrate, etc. I've been trying to be able to hold my breath longer/make breathing more efficient as I swim underwater. I've also heard just being in the water increases lung capacity and ability, because the water pressure alone makes breathing more difficult. I hope swimming cardio carries over to running! lol

Let me tell you another great workout in the pool - diving.

During the hot summer months, I've gone to the public pool that has a low dive. They don't seem to have high dives anymore probably due to insurance costs. Anyway, one hot summer day, I went off the low dive 30 times, each time trying to make a perfect swan dive. The work of diving, swimming to the edge of the pool and pulling myself out of the pool made for a great workout.

Sounds like a different and even fun workout...but unfortunately the pool has no diving boards at all, not even for the lap swimmers, those little stands.

Front Squats (ATG) 5x45, 5x135, 5x185, 3x225
BORs 10x135, 10x165, 10x185

Notes: Quick and easy. 185 front squats went up easy and were pain free. 225 always seems to pull me forward, temporarily hurting my bicep(s). I gotta learn to fix this.

Are you racking the bar on your shoulders when doing the front squats?
