Yeah very top of my shoulders, bar actually right up against my throat usually. I think the heavier weight just pulls me forward and I'm not focusing on keeping upright/leaning back a bit to keep it in place.

It's probably a lower back/ab thang.

Well I'm handling less weight than you but I have really been trying to improve my front squat performance, doing all reps Olympic-style.

There is definitely the need to have hip girdle and calves flexibility that is different than the conventional back squat.

I recently bought a pair of inexpensive weightlifting shoes with a nice wedge and that has helped me.

I try to make sure I maintain that lower back arch and expand my chest and be more aggressive in keeping my elbows high and driving them upward as I come out of the bottom.

If you are still coming forward despite doing all of these things, it simply means that the weight is too much for where you are at.

I believe it is better to drop the weight and pursue that perfect form, or perform singles and doubles with the heavier weight.

One thing is for sure, you definitely know when you are doing it right.

Flat Bench 10x45, 5x95, 5x135, 5x185, 6x210, 4x220, 15x155
Push Press 5x95, 5x115, 7x135
Dips BWx17 + 5 (rest pause 5 seconds)
Decline Sit Ups BWx10, BW+55x10, BW+110x10

Notes: Getting push press form down a lot better. I almost had 5x220 on bench, not even kidding had less than an inch left I just couldn't lock my elbows.

If you are liking push presses then you'd also like push jerks.

Could you describe push jerks for me? Or possibly a video link? Thank you.

Try this link: YouTube - OPT push jerk practice - dip-drive-dip

If you have time to kill, go to youtube and type in push jerk and you'll get alot more to check out.

Deadlifts 5x135, 5x225, 2x275, 1x315, 1x365, 5x405
BORs 7x135, 7x185, 7x185

Notes: In and out, busy day. Still tied my DL PR. I didn't want to tempt injury going for a 6th rep today. Easy rows to finish off a short day.

pierini...good link, I looked into other olympic lifts as well. A lot of them are too technical and there are too many to learn on my own without someone to show me. I'll stick with the basics for now (eg front squat, push press) and progress from there if I decide to take that route.

Cardio 1 mile run, stretching

Notes: No official time because it was indoors. It felt much easier and quicker than my last mile. I'm guessing this was sub-7 minutes but probably not by too much.

That's an honorable effort for the 185 attempt at the push press, moreso since they came after some bench press work. I assume they were from the rack. How close did you come on the 185? Have you ever cleaned 185?

And finishing off with BW x 20 for bar dips was really a tricep blast and good way to end your workout.
