CHEST, Thursday, February 24, 2005
Bench Press 8 x 45 lbs, 8 x 95 lbs CG, 6 x 135 lbs WG, 3x3 @ 185 lbs WG
Incline Dumbbell Press 6 x 55 lbs, 6 x 60 lbs, 6 x 65 lbs
Flyes 6 x 45 lbs, 6 x 50 lbs

Notes: I used wide grip for benching today. I believe it is easier (lol @ Firehawk). My wide grip is index finger on the ring, where as regular grip is pinkies on it. Incline DB press wasn't bad, hit 6 instead of 2 reps at 65s. Didn't have the juice for 55s for flyes, too beat. Good day overall.

I believe you are right about the WG benches being easier. I got that from firehawk - he said that puts the lats into it somewhat too. I know mine are pretty sore after chest day. I'm not able to push nearly what you do though. Hope you're back isn't too sore tomorrow.

Nice pressing. The WG thing is interesting. I actually think a closer grip is easier (thumb wrapped just inside the ring). Maybe that means I need my lats to catch up to my tris.

You know Jason I used to think my closer/regular grip was easier, I tried wide (too wide), so I still thought my regular grip was superior. But then I found the right "wide grip" for me and it seems to work better.

All I did was concentrate on proper squat technique/form. I did a number of sets with 135 and some with 225, bouncing back and forth. I have no idea how many sets or even reps I did. I tossed in some heavy calf raises at the end for sh*ts and giggles. No SLDLs.

That's ok buddy. You're gonna get it, don't get discouraged. Then when you putting up 315 for reps the RIGHT way you will be much happier.

BACK, Monday, February 28, 2005
Deadlifts 6 x 45 lbs, 6 x 135 lbs, 6 x 225 lbs, 4 x 330 lbs, 4 x 340 lbs, 2 x 350 lbs, 2 x 365 lbs
BORs 6 x 135 lbs, 6 x 135 lbs, 6 x 135 lbs
Chin Ups BW x 4, BW+25 x 3, BW x 6

Notes: Had to go for 365 DL. That was real heavy. I didn't eat 3-4 hours prior to lifting, nor did I eat for about an hour afterwards. I just woke up so I was dead tired. The bar is finally starting to bend though I still hate BORs and they always feel heavy and I need to use more back I think, so I am staying again.

30 Deg. from parallel is actually pretty good if you can keep there. I wouldn't personally come up any further than 45 but that's me, I like to be low.

I do it at about 60-70 degrees from parallel (closer to 60), which is plenty enough to hit the muscles intended.

Hmm I'll play with the angle next week, but I don't want to turn my BOR into a shrug by angling too high up ya know.
