BACK/BICEPS/ABS, Monday, March 28, 2005
Deadlifts Off 2 35s 6 x 45 lbs, 6 x 135 lbs, 5 x 225 lbs, 2 x 275 lbs, 5 x 300 lbs, 5 x 300 lbs
BORs 5 x 115 lbs, 5 x 140 lbs, 5 x 140 lbs
Chin Ups (+15 lbs) 7, 5
BB Curls (Wider Grip) 8 x 80 lbs
Hanging Leg Raises BW x 10, BW+45 x 8, BW+45 x 8
Notes: Deadlifts weren't too bad today, really pounded my quads. BORs were surprisingly easy! First time ever going over 135 if I remember correctly. No progress on chin ups, I think I am going to alternate BORs and weighted chins every other week. Curls pretty tough, couldn't knock out 10 reps. No 40 lber for HLRs either so had to use 45...hard to hold on to that sucker.

LEGS/ABS, Thursday, March 31, 2005
Squats 6 x 45 lbs, 6 x 115 lbs, 4 x 135 lbs, 5 x 190 lbs (2 sec pause), 5 x 190 lbs (2 sec pause)
Calf Raises 8 x 225 lbs, 8 x 315 lbs, 8 x 315 lbs, 8 x 315 lbs
SLDLs 6 x 135 lbs, 6 x 230 lbs, 6 x 230 lbs, 6 x 230 lbs
Hanging Leg Raises BW x 10, BW+40 x 10
DB Side Bends 10 x 80 lbs
Notes: Squats were much better than I thought, wish I would have gone for 195. On the second set I was leaning just barely forward, so gotta keep that in mind next time. Calf raises I got, but not as well as I'd have liked. SLDLs still getting used to bending the knees. Abs were a piece of cake.

i max bench 200lbs. and I am 15 years old and weigh about 165lbs. When i first started lifting regularly i only maxed 150, and that was just about a month ago. I was just wondering how to keep ketting those gains without hitting a peak.

It's impossible to stop getting gains without hitting peaks, because we all have our own peaks. Mine is currently at the area of 240-230 1 rep, but what I do is train under my max and try to get as many reps as possible. Your rep is 1 rep for 200, I can do about 5 reps of 205 pounds. And I also weigh about the same as you 170-165 pound range and my height is 5' 10.5 and I'm 18 years old. Well, I personally think its impossible to not hit a peak at times, someone correct me if I am wrong.

To DCR660, your gains will slow down, there is no stopping it. However, as long as you keep your body guessing and train your weak points, you shouldn't hit any solid walls in your gains. When those come up, you are probably doing something wrong in either your training or your diet...and come to think of it, why was this question even posted in someone's journal?

CHEST, Friday, April 1, 2005
Bench Press 8 x 45 lbs, 5 x 95 lbs, 4 x 115 lbs, 3 x 135 lbs, 5 x 170 lbs (2 sec pause), 5 x 170 lbs (2 sec pause)
Dips BW+20 x 6, BW+45 x 6, BW+45 x 6
Upright Rows 8 x 45 lbs, 8 x 100 lbs
Notes: OWNED the bench press. The 170 actually felt pretty light. Hellz yeah. I struggled more with 165. Dips were strong. Something weird happened...on every 5th and 6th rep at +45 lbs, my hands and then arms started tingling. Very strange. I wanted 6 x 100 lbs on uprights but nailed 8 x 100 lbs. It was surprisingly easy. Too beat to do any decline presses. Great day!

Hey thanks Jerome. I just try to give back what I've been given since I started really learning about weightlifting/fitness. Thanks for the props though, I appreciate it.
