With 195 x 6 id even assume that he can hit more than 225 with some rack lockouts to get used to the heavier weight.

Dave Dave Dave...you're getting my hopes up tossing around numbers like 225 and words like bench with me lol. The night before benching was a party night I will admit. I did eat well beforehand though. I'm pumped for 195s.
And Dark, I'd be hitting 195 for 6 sets of 3 reps. That's what I've been doing for the past few weeks, using a closer grip (pinky on rings versus index finger on rings). I've never repped above 185 before though so I feel pretty good

Looking damn fine Greg - go to 195 for sure. Eat big (and clean) the day before you bench for a an extra push and you'll get those reps for sure. Have you considered supplemental work, like Dave suggested for me? I think lockouts and partials have really helped me in my weak spots.

Thanks three and Jason I haven't done any supplemental work like you have, speed day or partials or anything like that. What do you think of benching 2x a week? I might slowly rework my routine and get a heavy/speed benching day but I'm not sure right now.

I still gotta learn about splitting bench into 2 days and then actually figure out what I need to do. Should be a little while longer only I hope.

Let me know what you find out, I've been considering the exact same thing. My squat and deadlift are progressing steadily, but the bench is pretty stuck. I thought a 2nd workout during the week might be the kick in the ass it needs.

Your numbers are getting sick, Greg. I could have sworn you wore BOR-ing like 140 two weeks ago. 165 already? :

You know, just a couple months ago my BOR was VERY stuck at 135. I was pulling WAY to high on my torso, aiming to hit the chest area. Since, I have corrected my form and now I pull to about the middle section of my abs.

Thanks Matt, although progress has been great for me recently, I still don't think the numbers are too impressive. lol your numbers are far from bad as well! I've seen what you can do and I'd be willing to trade some lifts
