I agree 100%, but I just know gcs generally has compact workouts.

Dave has talked me into a more expanded workout on chest/shoulder/tricep days. I do like to keep my workouts short and very intense, but with all the muscles I gotta hit on this day, not much I can do about it.

Do a delt and traps day, then. Or are you committed to a 3-day sked (not including abs/grip day)?

I only do 4 days a week (back/biceps, legs, chest/shoulders/triceps and abs/grip). I don't really want to go more often and I do think I need as many rest days as possible. With all the exercises I have on my chest/tri/delt day, it really hasn't been too bad. I just take plenty of rest time and so far it has been working. I haven't been on the "higher volume" chest day but for 3-4 weeks maybe, so I'm at least gonna keep it up this next cycle.

Not saying that I intend to have a delt/trap day, but it wasn't a bad suggestion. Traps I don't do any direct work for really, but if I focused on front, side, and rear delts on one day that could easily be 6-8 sets of hard work. Sure front delts get hit on bench, but otherwise it's mostly a tricep day. Just saying the idea wasn't totally rediculous...it just isn't for me

The front delts get slammed on bench day dude. The traps get hit pretty good on back day. To me it'd be a total waste to have a specific day for those two parts.

I'm not saying it's for us, just saying it wasn't a bad suggestion. Now go take notes at the seminar and teach me something when you get back

i think your next lifting cycle looks great, so i'm assuming that your dividing that up between three days? how do you like doing the three day split? and have you ever tried a 5 day split? the Max-OT cycle i've been following is 5 days and it's a lot, i'm thinking that when the Max-OT w/o i'm following now is over (3 weeks) i'll go back to a 3-day split.

I used to do a 5 day split, doing as you are now with back, legs, shoulders, arms and chest days. I like my 3 day split a lot more (4 days if you count abs/grip as a day). I can go heavier and put a lot more intensity into my workouts I think. It's taken me a lot further than the previous 5 day split I had.
