The trials and tribulations of youth: (1) gets sick often, (2) injured often from trying to lift too heavy, and (3) lots of breakups and new babes.

When you get older, its: (1) don't get sick often, (2) body always hurts, oftentimes not from lifting heavy, a private secret, and (3) not alot of breakups but always looking at young babes when nobody else is looking.

Enjoy your youth. Time will fly.

sounds like a bummer of a weekend mate ... not to worry though (and not wishing to belittle the feelings involved ... we've all been there bro) but easy come easy go, plenty more chicks in the hen house.

The real downer is your hammy's still dodgy, I say give it more rest, as sacreligeous as it sounds maybe even take a few days or even *gasp* a week off training altogether. The more you tax your system the more resources it is using for things other than making your hammy well, just relax and take it easy and your body will be able to use more resources to heal your dodgy leg (that's why I don't count your time off for your wisdom teeth as rest, your body repair systems were probably still working pretty damned hard hard).

That's my theory.

All my good vibes out to ya mate.

Thanks for the support guys. It's official that I no longer have a girlfriend anymore. 2 years of dating and we're done. We might find ourselves together down the road, but we'll see what time has to offer.

Definitely am not taking full rest for my hammy. I'm gonna work my back, chest, abs, and everything else I can to death. My lifting has been thrown off track for too long. I gotta start to get some order back to it.

And pierini...I do enjoy my youth, I love it. Just some hard times, that's all. I'm sure it'll all be cleared up in a little while.

the point is, if you don't rest it and give it time to heal, you're going to continue to tax your system and delay it further. you also risk compounding the damage and maybe making it permanent.

I don't use the hammy at all in training anymore though, and therefore back day and leg day are significantly shorter. Chest/shoulder/tricep day is still tough, but that doesn't affect it too much. I'm pretty much down to a 2 day lifting schedule. If that isn't plenty of time for it to heal I don't know what is

Hey man - sorry to hear all this stuff is hitting at once. On the relationship front, these things usually work themselves out.

One of the women I broke up with in college is now my wife -- we got back together a few months after the breakup and have been together ever since. That was 12 years ago.

Your hamstring will heal eventually. Treat it gently and one morning you'll wake up and it will be normal again. The human body is an amazing thing.

No doubt that the body is amazing, I just can't wait for it to be finished healing

And you know what, so many people have said themselves or their parents or whoever broke up during college, and eventually got back together and got married. I can see that happening to myself, I just need a some time off for awhile first.
