Barring injuries, I'mma guess by April you'll be hitting 275.

HEAVY BENCH, Sunday, November 13, 2005
Bench Press (Pinkies On Rings) 10 x 45 lbs, 5 x 95 lbs, 3 x 135 lbs, 1 x 155 lbs, 1 x 185 lbs, 5x5 @ 195 lbs
Flat DB Press 6 x 75 lbs, 5 x 75 lbs
Tricep Pushdowns 10 x 150 lbs, 10 x 150 lbs
Lateral Raises 13 x 30 lbs
Front Raises 13 x 30 lbs
Face Pulls 10 x 150 lbs

Notes: After 2 nights of partying and a gym I am not used to anymore, I was surprised to hit all my reps on the bench. It was pretty tough though. Accessory lifts weren't too impressive. I was happy with my raises, and pushdowns were too easy on this cable set up. Good day over all considering lack of sleep, poor diet and a lot of alcohol.

Actually, with bench being my weakness - I think your benching AND your tricep pushdowns are pretty impressive.

Keep up the good work. I know you didn't feel the "other" work was very impressive, but to someone sitting where I'm at, it's pretty darn good.

three...not while I'm 19 and in college it won't

Dave...progress has been real steady, let's hope it keeps up! I'm so pumped

Andy....thanks man, last year or even 6 months ago these numbers would have been amazing for me, but I guess I've grown unappreciative of how far I've come. So I guess today was pretty good

Keep listening and learning and it will man.

:

Cool thing is dude, what ive learned is like a scratch on the surface of powerlifting. I can't wait to really get into the tricks of the trade. Basically what i've learned is how to get your core strength up to where it needs to be before you start getting into bands/chains and stuff like that. Basically, everything you need to know about being a beginner/intermediate lifter. The advanced stuff like chains and bands is coming .

I'll stay "beginner/intermediate" for awhile then I guess. There is no way I can do board work, chains or bands at my rec gym. I could do some cycles during the summer if I had to, but I don't think I'll need that stuff until I'm pressing closer to upper 300s or 400 lbs.

BACK, Monday, November 14, 2005
BORs 6 x 135 lbs, 5 x 155 lbs, 5 x 185 lbs, 6 x 195 lbs, 6 x 195 lbs, 6 x 195 lbs
Chin Ups BW+20 x 6, BW+20 x 4
Seated Cable Rows 6 x 140 lbs, 6 x 140 lbs, 6 x 140 lbs
BB Shrugs 20 x 205 lbs
BB Curls 4 x 95 lbs

Notes: Had to jump right in with someone else for BORs, so I didn't want to keep unloading the plates for my 45, 95, and 115 warm up sets. Still worked out ok. I think I tweaked my left pec or something doing the chin ups. I do them pretty close grip, definitely closer than shoulder width. Rows were tough, shrugs easy, curls tough. I felt so weak and wiped out today, but the numbers really weren't that bad looking back.

Yeah you need a good partner to do that stuff anyway.

SPEED BENCH, Wednesday, November 16, 2005
Speed Bench 10 x 45 lbs, 5 x 95 lbs, 5 x 95 lbs, 9 sets of 3 @ 115 lbs (3 diff. grips)
Seated MP 10 x 115 lbs, 10 x 115 lbs, 6 x 125 lbs
Lateral Raises 10 x 35 lbs
Front Raises 8 x 40 lbs
Face Pulls 10 x 150 lbs

Notes: Dropped to 115 for speed work for a change of pace, moved it pretty quick. Nailed the MP reps, could have even pushed more at 125 Raises I had a good increase on each, so I figured one heavy and hard set is plenty for those. Great day overall!
