friday 7/8/05

crappy workout today, just felt like a crap workout, but who knows. i got ambitious and tried too big of a jump on deadlifts and i didn't like the way they felt at all. decided to do db curls instead of barbell curls today and i think i may have tried too heavy of a weight for those too....oh well, there's always next time

sumo deadlifts 275lbs x 5, 5
i got 5 on each set but i felt like i was using a lot of legs and not so much back. my back isn;t sore at all right now, last week, i felt it in my back much more. i just want to make sure i hit the muscles i am supposed to hit with these. i will see how i feel next friday whether i keep this weight or drop it a bit

db curls 65lb dbs x 5, 5
got them up, but didn't really feel it in my biceps...didn;t get the pump i usually get. i wonder if my back day is overworking my bis in addition to these?

incline db curls 55lb dbs x 5, 5
went up reps on these...these felt easy, almost TOO easy, and once again, the weights went up but not so much pain in the bis....and yes I USE GOOD FORM on everything!

10 minute interval training on the recumbant bike (cause i have no other time to do cardio, so i had to throw it at the end_

short but not so sweet workout

Yeah you didn't feel it in your biceps cause you were using your back to get them up weren't you? DON'T LIE TO ME! 65's equal to about 135 for 5 on a straight bar.

Nice work there mo cheese!

dude, since you're so high on the filming thing, I'll FILM MYSELF NEXT TIME!! hahaha

i will say in all fairness that I did use wrist straps on the dumbbells, but yes I got the 65's up without breaking form. I find it a lot easier believe it or not, to curl dumbbells than a straight bar, I guess it's just me though

I'd be more interested seeing you're bench form and your squat form than bicep curl form. Hook it up homie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe...I'll see what I can do....i know you're gonna trash my bench form already, since I know for a fact I bench like a "bodybuilder" and not a powerlifter, ie, upper arms parallel to the floor and elbows making a 90 degree angle on the decent...I can't do it the "powerlifter" way cause my elbows are too messed up....

I'm not gonna "trash" anything you do, cept maybe your squat form .

Careful with benching with those elbows straight out, that can cause serious shoulder problems FYI, so then you'll have shoulder and elbow problems then you F'd lol.

well, actually, since I have learned the art of tucking my shoulder blades together underneath my back as far as I can, I have had 0 shoulder issues, whereas before this, i couldn't do incline presses because of a bad right shoulder, but since I am really squeezing those blades together, I feel a lot stronger in the movement and a lot more secure...

and yes, knowing you, you will trash my squat form

Man you'd be surprised how many people think they are doing squats right and aren't. I used to be one of em. Now, because of where i train, i'm not allowed to cheat on form lol.

And, ill likely be competing in december this year so if i want it to count, I'll have to have good form.

Oh i see, tucking those blades and staying tight, you my friend are going to become a powerlifter soon enough. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEH MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
