new journal!!!!!


hi! im back. lol. well here is my workout schedule!

workout schedule:

monday: i do chest workouts, and tricep workouts! (also i do ab crunches with a 15 pd weight on my chest!

tuesday: i run on the gazelle for 30 min

wednesday: i do shoulder workouts, and legs workouts. (also again i do 100 crunches with the 15 pd weight on my chest!)

Thursday: i run on the gazelle for 30 min.

friday: i do my bicep, and back workouts. (again the 100 crunches with the 15 pd weight on my chest!)

sat: i run on the gazelle for 30 min.

sun: same as sat.

well that is just a basic layout of what i do in my week. if you see anything in my schedule that you would change or if i am doin something wrong or you just have a question about it then just ask me and i will surely answer it. lol. thanks for the help.


nutrition:

i really dont count my calories or anything like that. i basically just eat as healthy as i can! but i do take a protein shake in the morning and after i workout! (only after i lift. not after i run on the gazelle!)

goals:

my basic goals are to look and feel great about my body, and be able to take off my shirt in public without being embarassed! lol. also i wanna look my best for the american idol audition i am going to this summer!


problems i am having:

well i am lifting as you know and i am running on the days that i dont lift! i have a lil flab around my abs and stomach area! and i really want a six pack! and i have no clue how to get that. am i doing everything right or do i need to improve on stuff!

Advice - Throw in a rest day. Working out every day is a sure way to NOT achieve what you're working towards. Start a Fitday food log - it's free and easy, and you can let people see what you have logged which adds a layer of accountability. I know it helps me, anyway. Here's the first thing you need to address, in my opinion:

For your answer to #2, see #1. You just HAVE to pay closer attention to the diet. I know it sucks, but you have to. Abs are made in the kitchen. That's why Fitday is a good idea; it's easy to do, gives you the information you need without being a huge pain in the ass.

well thank you for the help. is there any advice you have for me as far as working out. besides the rest day i need? thanks again for the advice. !!!!!! and that is okay that you said i am pumped. lol. i am very excited about finally gettin the help i need from ppl who are workin for the same thing i am! that is why i love this website! thanks again.

Tim hit the nail on the head. If we don't know what your diet is, it's difficult to recommend changes.

The workout looks fine for you at this point. As long as you're doing something you'll be fine. My bet is that your diet is what is holding you back. Log a few days on fitday and then let us check it out.

Workouts look OK for now. Diet...same questions as everyone else.

Sure, get a free account at FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and enter everything you eat into it. If you eat things that aren't in the database, you can enter them as custom foods. You may have to read a few labels and do a little math, but it's not too difficult.

Texas boy - add a link to your signature line, like I and many others have done. It's easy to do - when you are logged in on Fitday, go to the Home - Profile page and click on "make my journal public". You can then paste the link they give you into your signature line underneath DETERMINATION+FREQUENCY and so forth.
