New workout journal

Ok well Im going to restart my workout journal and also post some pics up later tonight.

Today was back day and went as follows
3x6x80 T-bar rows (going for 3x6x90 next week)
3x6x155 cable pulls (going to go 3x8x155 next week)
5x4x185 dead lifts (going for more next week probably 200 same sets and reps, this was also my real 1st time doing dead lifts)

My previous max for bench was 1 rep of 215, today I threw on 215 and got the rep out like it was nothing. But since today wasnt chest I kept it at that and will try for 225 for my max on chest day

Goals for my maxes are
Bench-250 by End of Jan. Currently 225
Deadlift 280 by End of Jan. Currently 185
Squat 225 by End of Jan. Currently 150<~~~Legs are weakest part of me but are catching up quick

Wow today my lower back is real sore........first time I feel like Ive really hit those muscles. If thats the case then I should see a nice jump in my deadlifts over the next month or so.
Today will be leg day if I have time if not then tomorrow

ok well went and did legs today, wasnt able to get lit before I went
Also I wasnt able to eat alil something before working out, I had a sandwhich at 12:30pm and then worked out at 5:30pm was that too long to go without eating before working out?

Squat 1x6x150, 2x5x170 (new PR, previously 150)
Leg press 3x6x270
Used the leg press machine and did calves 2x20x270 (need to go way heavier didnt feel like it did anything)
Leg extensions 1x5x175, 1x5x160 (I think not eating right before lifting limited me on this, causing me to have to drop in weight)
Went back after the extensions and did another set of leg press 1x6x270
Overall I feel like my legs got a pretty good workout.

Im going to post pics every week and then each month Ill do a side by side comparison of my pics.

Here's my belated welcome to Discuss Fitness. Glad you are posting here in the Online Journal section. I've been reading your posts. Don't have anything to offer you at this point other than I am privately cheering for you.

hi stang! like pierini said welcome to DF and online journaling. if you keep with journaling i think you will find it tremendously helpful in your journey.

so to answer your question, i would say yes eating at 12:30 and waiting until 5:30pm is along time to go without eating period, and definitely way to long to go without eating before a workout. you might want to try eating a small meal about 1-2 hours before you train. i personally eat a small meal on my drive to the gym! what does your diet look like and at what time are you eating your meals?

p.s. you said something about not being able to get lit before your leg workout...do you mean stoned?

Yes I do mean getting stoned, I feel alot more focused when I am and seem to have great workouts.
I dont have a set diet, but this is what it mostly consists of.
Roast beef sandwhiches from safeway or savemart, oven roasted chicken breast sandwhich from subway for lunch
odwalla or naked protein drinks usually in the morning for breakfast
Clam chowder soup every other day or so.
some almonds inbetween breakfast and lunch
And then 1 scoop of protein powder 2 times a day

Ok today was chest day and I put up a new PR by alot.

Flat Bench
1x10x115
1x6x135
1x4x185
2x4x205
1x2x225
1x1x235 (New PR by 20lbs!!!!) Probably couldve done 2 if I wouldve had a spotter, I was very impressed especially after putting up 2 reps of 225
1x2x205

Incline Bench
1x3x185 (was very wore out after the flat bench)
Dumb bell incline bench (55lbs) 1x10

OK so today I just did triceps since I did chest yesterday, I felt I could get a better workout each way if I split the two.
Tricep extensions using a rope
4x8x140
1x5x150
Tricep push downs
2x8x165
1x6x180

I did a few warm-up sets in there too

Ok today was back day and it went as follows
T-Bar rows
1x10x45
1x8x80
2x4x90
1x4x95
V-bar seated rows
1x8x140
1x8x155
Deadlifts
1x8x135
1x6x185
1x4x195
This was my 3rd day in a row working hard and repping over 90% of my max
I think I couldve had a better back day if I wouldve let my body rest a full day.
Do deadlifts stretch the abs much? Cause I was real sore in the stomach area when doing deadlifts that I couldnt continue them after my set of 195

Didnt do chest today. I got off work and just didnt feel good, kind of sick to my stomach and just not feeling it.

So I figured its best for my progress to rest today and hit the weights hard tomorrow. :
