Welcom Brat... thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to getting any tips & tricks you are willing to share.
gymgirl- It rained last night and this morning here in Cali. Just enough to freshen up the air and make the leaves fall. BEAUTIFUL! Last night my family had a relaxing fire in the fireplace in the evening to top off the week.
8:00 am 6 mile walk up New York Creek with my neighbor and dog in a light shower of rain. enjoyed getting out in the fresh air and my dog went crazy with all the new smells.
3:00 pm 10,038 precor strides on level 5 ristance varying from 1-17 = 970 calories.
I am off to a play and Japanese food with some girlfriends tonight.

CFW Rest Day
1:00 pm
10,028 precor strides on resistance 6 at random 1-17 incline = 970 calories
20 minutes of light freeweights for upper body
I did really good on my eating out last night. I researched and found that sashimi (which I love) was really low in Weight Watcher points so it made my choices and staying on the program easy.
Also - I am trying to make sure I get my 10,000 precor strides in each day as a baseline for activity and then add CFWOD's and any other weights that I can in addition. I have a precor at home so I am doing good so far sticking to getting activity each day.
I travel for work 2 days this week and will have limited time for the Hotel Gym. I will take my cloths and shoes and hope for some time.

11/14 8500 precor strides @ 6 resistance / random 1-17 incline
11/17
Minime & Gymgirl thanks for the "props".... but I didn't do as well as I had hoped during my travels. I didn't get any workouts in on the 2 days I traveled. Instead we worked long days and they chose Mexican food for Dinner. I am weak and couldn't avoid the chips & salsa.... nor could I say no to the margaritas! I did go right back to eating good and exercising today...... AND I still lost 1.6 lbs at my weigh-in.
9:00 am - 10,000 precor strides on resistance 6 @ random 1-17 incline = 976 calories.
3:30 pm - 2.5 mile walk with my dog.

i know how that goes no-frills. i too ate way too much mexican food this past week. it's really hard when you are traveling because you have long days, and don't get to eat as often as you need then you are starving, and you want something satifying. plus it's the worst to be stuck ina hotel room and hungry in the middle of the night. the great part is you went right back to eating properly and exercising! that is fantastic! congrats on your weigh-in too!

hey no-frills - good job on the weight loss!
i too cannot resist good food when i am out to dinner or on vacation. If Im in a restaurant its generally a steak for me, and if theres something good on the dessert menu, well I'll probably have it. This plus beer, which is why I do not go out to dinner too often!

I have also been experimenting with a variety of different healthy foods for dinners such as whole wheat pasta, jennie-O turkey breast, sausage and bacon. Picked-up some Kashi Cereal that has lots of fiber that I eat along with yogurt for bfast and have sugar free jello or skinny cows for low calorie snacks in addition to lots of cut up veggies. Definitely making better choices and I am happy to say I am still logging my WW points going on 3 weeks now.... this is a record for me!

A handful of Kashi Autumn wheat, dry right from the box is my snack of choice when I have the occasional sweet tooth. I have not had chocolate in months.
The turkey sausages... OMG, I love them. I have two recipes that I make quite often with them.
First I brown the sauages in the oven to take the excess fat out. While that is happening, I saute large diced onion and peppers in 1tbls olive oil in a heavy oven proof skillet. I add garlic and let it cook until soft. I slice the sausages 1/2 in thick blot the fat with paper towels and throw it in the pan. I nuke diced potatoes until just slightly firm and add that to the pan, too. after another few minutes I add scrambled eggs. I usually use white and whole ... for one package of Jennie-O, i think it is like 5 sausage... i use 6 whites and two whole eggs. Don't stir, just let it cook until the bottom and sides set. Then I put it in the oven for approx 8-10 minutes until the eggs are cooked. slice it like a pie and serve it with a salad.
I will have to look up the exact portions of everything i use to be exact, but I think it is like 4-5 points per serving and VERY filling.
the other recipe... i cook the sauages in the oven. I sautee an onion and garlic in 1tbls olive oil. I add a whole bunch of red pepper flakes. Hot, Hot, Hot!! Add two cans of dices tomatoes in the juice and 1 small can of tomato paste, then one tomato can of water. cook on medium high to cook the tomatoes down. slice sausages and add to pan, cook for another 5 minutes or so. Then I add 1/2 small container of lowfat sour cream. I know that sounds weird but it is really nice. The sour cream balances out the acidity of the tomatoes and the fire of the peppers and gives it a nice little tang. I serve this over whole wheat pasta with a side salad. If I remember correctly, the sauce is like 3-4 points per serving. I would have go back and check my Weight Watcher logs, as it has been a while since I cooked it and dont recall it off the top of my head. If I have enough points left, I use a generous amount of grated parm cheese.
These are both recipes that I used to cook before joining weight watchers, but reworked them to fit the program.
WW zero point soup is excellent!!! I make it in huge batches.

CF Rest Day
KarenMarie- the breakfast skillet sounds yummy enough to try on my family and will even fill up my 2 teenage sons. the other recipe will be just for me because I like hot & spicy food.
I found this great new LaTortilla Factory Whole Wheat Low-Carb Garlic & Herb tortilla only 50 calories, 2g fat and 8g fiber .... 0 points on WW.

Noon -10,048 precor strides @ resistance 7, random incline 1-17 = 970 c's
20 side leg raise per/leg
I seemed to be really hungry today. I had egg whites and 2 turkey sausage links for breakfast and was hungry again by 11:00.....so I ate my lunch 1 hour earlier than usual. I figured it was better to eat when I was hungry then try to stretch it out and risk eating something bad. I more veggies today than I think I ever have..... but it kept me busy and allowed me to feed my hunger. so I count this as success.
