Had to get my cardio in early since we had a Holiday Brunch, Basketball Game and then another party in the Evening. I did great at both the Brunch and the Party at night. I stuck with lean protein (Fresh Shrimp), veggies and NO sweets. Instead I had a handful of cranberries & walnuts to help curb the sweet craving.

12/17 ---- I chose to sleep in this morning instead of going for the 5K run with JDR3 and Pierini. Just couldn't get myself to get up and go outside for a run in 35 degrees. I must have been really tired because I slept in until 9:30 am... I never get up any later than 8:00 or 8:30.

Gym @ 4:00 pm
1.25 mile run on TM @ 5.8 no incline

1st Round Work-Out ---- 15 each of:
Leg Press @ 110lb
Leg Ext @ 90lb
Leg Curl @ 100lb
chest Press @ 80lb
shoulder press @ 50lb
seated row hands over @ 90lb
seated row hands under @ 90lb
Bicep Curl @ 60lb
Tricep Extension @ 70lb
Pullover @ 80lb
Rotary Deltoid @ 50lb
Butterfly Contractor @ 50lb
Rotary Torso @ 40lb
50 abductor - outer thigh - 100 lbs
50 abductor - inner thigh - 90 lbs

1.5 mile run on TM @ @ 6.0 - no incline

2nd Round Work-out ---- 15 each of:
Leg Press @ 110lb
Leg Ext @ 90lb
Leg Curl @ 1000lb
chest Press @ 80lb
shoulder press @ 50lb
seated row hands over @ 90lb
seated row hands under @ 90lb

I was interrupted at the gym by one of my chatty neighbors that I haven't seen in awhile. Needless to say once she gets started there is no stopping her. I didn't get to finish all that I set out to do.... But still had a good workout.

I battled my chocolate craving today and lost!!!! Before I knew it, I had "chowed down" enough chocolate to use up almost all of my weekly points on the WW program. ARG.... ....... I will have to do some extra cardio and eat really well the rest of the week to be down at this weeks weigh in.

dont sweat it no-frills - we all fall off the wagon sometimes! And as you say: it is easily remedied, by working a little harder and eating clean for a couple of days.

mm chocolate. I havent had an out-of-control sweet eating frenzy in a while now.. not since halloween i believe. It may happen this week if people start bringing delicious stuff into work!

wow no-frills - way to go on getting up for cardio first thing! that is something i have planned to do many times but i just cant haul my butt outta bed til i absolutley have to!

oh and i do eat chocolate, almost every day! But i eat 85% cocoa stuff, and have a peice of cake whenever i am out to dinner (every week these days it seems!)

But all of this is 'controlled' which is fine with me. What i dont like is when I get out of control and eat candy i didnt plan to eat. It happens occasionally

Minime - the holidays are full of temptations..... I will be happy to make it out of the next 2 weeks without any weight gain and a Total Bonus if I lose. Xmas and New Years is sure to tempt me with both chocolate AND wine.

I sometimes have 6:00 am or 7:00 am phone meetings for work. My strategy has been to put on my workout clothes and do the precor when I am listening in on the phone.... multi-tasking at its best! I am a morning person so it feels great to get some cardio in first thing in the morning and any other exercise I get is a bonus.

Nice consistent workouts on the elliptical. I'm guessing you have over 1,000,000 strides by now since you have been regularly training.

JDR3 told me that he is taking you and the boys to see Rocky Balboa tomorrow. I bet you are excited!

i know, the holidays are tough. I will gain some lbs during the holidays I'm sure (and not the good kind either) as I definitely tend to let loose at christmas time: chocolate, baked goods, alcohol.. mmm

keep getting those workouts in to minimise the damage. And then back to strict eating in the new year!

perieni..... I probably only have 999,999.99 strides... LOL... And if we went to see Rocky, it would be just another day in this all male household. On any given day our TV has football, basketball, baseball, the ultimate fighting, wrestling, boxing, poker, monster car battles, etc. I was able to talk JDR3 and the boys in to seeing "Night at the Museum" starring Ben Stiller ....... the guy minime said that you look like. Ha,Ha,Ha.

I was supposed to weigh in today at WW; however I chose to go to a matinée movie with my family instead. I will weigh-in tomorrow. I brought my soy chips and water to the movie instead of eating the buttered popcorn... so good alternative.

gymgirl.... I grew up with 4 brothers, no sister... so I am used to the all boy thing but every once in awhile I have to take a break. I get away with my girlfriends regularly and put my foot down when I can't take it anymore.

Ben Stiller is so cute.... I loved him in zoolander and dodgeball. This is a family style / kids movie but lots of imagination so it was fun to watch.
