12/31 - 3 miles on the treadmill @ random levels and speeds.

I spent time cleaning out my closet of the pants, shorts and capris that are now too big for me. Feels so great to be able to get into 2 sizes smaller than when I started this process!!

I am donating the following to goodwill:
14 pairs of pants
7 Capri's
5 pairs of shorts

Ha, I did kind of the same with my uniforms. The county was complaining about having to buy new uniforms every month when I was losing weight.

Co-workers were laughing at my big butt before I lost the weight. Then, all my old uniforms from size 36-44 ended up being worn by various co-workers. Except the 34s, apparently they fit no one. Too big for me, too small for the others.

Welch---too funny about your co-workers...... so glad you can identify with how great it feels to move down the sizes. Getting them out of my closet was my way of telling myself ..... you don't need them because you aren't going back to that size again! WAHOO!

Gymgirl...I also went out and bought 2 pairs of cute work-out shorts that are 1 size too small for me so that I will have to work really hard to get into them. I will let you know when I finally get to wear them to the gym. Probably about another 10 lbs.... can't wait.

Me too, with congratulations on the clothing purge! :

I hope you didn't do like me. I bought a pair of really expensive buckskin leather jeans, the once in a lifetime investment sort. Well I can pull them off without undoing them now . What a waste of money!

Discuss Fitness has another sexy babe to celebrate now, her name is no-frills!

No-Frills, it does feel great. Now that you've taken the step of getting rid of the old stuff, you've got some real motivation to continue and not backslide into bad old habits...you know the ones you used to have but don't have now, the ones that aren't consistant with a good body, good health, and feeling great.

My hat is off to you for your success. But going back on quickly because my hair is almost off too.

7110 precor strides level 8 resistance @ 1-17 incline = 700 c's

Intended to go to the gym for weights after work, but decided to use the rest of the day for rest. The entire household was back to the grind.... school and work.... just getting back into the routine wiped me out.

10,340 precor strides, level 7 resistance, incline 1-17 variance = 1000 c's.

5:30 pm @ the gym
2 Rounds Work---- 15 each of:
Roman Chair knee raise
Roman Chair straight leg raise
Leg Press @ 110lb
Leg Ext @ 90lb
Leg Curl @ 100lb
chest Press @ 90lb
shoulder press @ 60lb
seated row hands over @ 90lb
seated row hands under @ 90lb
Bicep Curl @ 60lb
Tricep Extension @ 70lb
Pullover @ 80lb
Rotary Deltoid @ 60lb
Butterfly Contractor @ 60lb
Rotary Torso @ 50lb
50 abductor - outer thigh - 100 lbs
50 abductor - inner thigh - 90 lbs

WW Weigh-in = 4 Weight Loss this week ... YEAH for me!!!!
- on my own = 7.0 lbs
- WW week 1 = 5.0 lbs
- WW week 2 = 1.4 lbs
- WW week 3 = 4.6 lbs
- WW week 4 = .2 lbs
- WW week 5 = 2.4 lbs
- WW week 6 = 1.6 lbs
- WW week 7 = 0 lbs
- WW week 8 = 4 lbs

I knew I did really well this week and couldn't wait to weigh-in. Since joining weight watchers and holding myself accountable weekly, I am down 19lbs / 8 weeks or an average of 2.375 lbs per week.

The downside is I now have 2 less points per day, so my next challenge is to figure out how / where to cut out 2 points each day. It may not sound like much.... but since I like to eat... it will definitely be a challenge.

Biked to/from the gym
1 mile run on TM, 0% incline, @ 5.8
30 minutes spinning on cycle
5 minutes stretching to cool down

I experienced discomfort on my left leg (tendon on the backside of the leg where knee bends... don't know the name) so I chose to spin cycle to minimize the impact.

I will be updating my log on Sundays with progress toward my 2007 annual exercise and weight goals.

Annual Goals Update - Week #1 2007
- Intentional exercise 6 days/week = 7 days total = Exceeded Goal
- Weights 2-3 days p/week = 3 days total = Exceeded Goal
- Weight within WW range 145-155 = Not Met
- BMI within WW range 20/25 = Not Met

Hi no-frills,

A pair of kudos are in order for you this week: a good weigh-in and meeting your 2007 goals for the week. I think the training ethic is there. At this rate I probably won't recognize you the next time we cross paths.

Keep the pedal to the metal.
