9/20
Biked to the gym
Short warmup
" Tabata Something Else"
Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.
assisted pullups: 9/8/7/8/6/6/5/6 = 55
pushups from knees: 18/25/20/8/8/7/7/6= 79
situps: 8/11/9/8/8/7/6/6=63
squats: 17/17/16/16/14/14/16/16/= 126
Total 323
Had my personal trainer, JDR3 timing & counting for me. This is a work-out that would be tough to do on your own because of the timing and counting.
Situps done on decline, first set included transitioning across gym.
By the end, push-ups from my knees weren't too pretty.

10/14 - It's been 3 weeks since my last post. I have been consumed with working 16 hour days including the weekends. I was able to get out for walks with my dog here and there .... but no real tough or consistent work-outs. I am back and ready to get started again. My stress level needs me to get back to consistent work-outs.
To kick off my destressing, JDR3 and I went for massages yesterday. It was totally decadent and just what we both needed.
8:30 am this morning took my dog for a 6 mile walk with neighbor up New York Creek trail. Felt so great to get outside and active again.

The Queen has returned - welcome back! I was asking JDR3 about you today and he gave me the big picture. Walking the dog was definitely good. Remember, something is better than nothing.
Have a great weekend!

welcome back no-frills - that sucks about having to work all that overtime.
ooh massages - that sounds lovely. I'd much rather be having a massage now, than sitting at my desk on a monday morning...how strange!
good luck with your return to workouts!

10/17/06 - 2 mile walk with my dog.
I am still not back to all out workouts, but I am committed to logging to force myself to get back into cross-fit or more.

i know, doesnt she look awesome? she's my inspiration too
no-frills - dont worry too much about the lack of motivation - getting on here and logging, going for walks with your dog - those are steps in the right direction. So what if u missed a few weeks of workouts - you have forever to get back to it! I know I'm guilty of getting caught in the short-term - but we have to remember that it is long term commitment to being healthy that counts!
