Girls.. thank you very much for the encouragement. I am glad to be back to my CFWOD's but don't feel like I have been "busting them out" by any means.... it's wierd how working so many hours and stress can make your mind so "heavy". Luckily where I live the weather has been beautiful... 70-80 degrees, so I am trying to get outside as much as possible to soak up the sun.... what a difference that makes.
11/1
Went to the Gym @ 3:00 pm
Warm-up 2 rounds of:
10 forward/backward arm circles
10 squats
10 sit-ups on decline bench
10 back extensions
10 assisted pull-ups
10 dips
10 girl push-ups
1/4 mile jog on the treadmill to warm up my legs
CFWOD's Kelly"
Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
15 Box jump, 12 inch box
15 Wall ball shots, 12lb pound ball
Cool down 1/4 mile walk on treadmill
5:00 pm 2.25 mile jog outside with my dog. With "daylight savings time" we adjusted our clocks back by 1 hour which makes getting out in the evening with my dog much more difficult becuse its dark @ 5:30.
4 miles total cardio today which felt really good although I haven't been breaking any speed barriers...:0)

it's ok, atleast you are doing it! 4 miles is great, and i find it much easier when broken up like that.
we turned our clocks back too and it is still an adjustment...it's been getting dark here by 5-5:30 too! i wish we had your weather. for somereson right when daylight savings hit it started freezing here. nights are in the 20's-30's daytime 50's but so cold and crisp.
you are right about the stress and long hours. not only does it make your mind heavy but your body as well--i feel so sluggish when i am stressed, and my workouts suffer too. i'm proud of you for getting back into it eventhough your work situation is quite hectic right now. you are doing fantastic! :

Gymgirl... I see you have had the "work blues" too! Amazing how the mind and body are connected.
wow.... 20 degrees IS cold. I am born and raised California girl, so anything undet 60 degrees starts to feel cold. I am such a "panzy". I would take 100+ weather over 20's anyday.

oh yes, its been getting dark so early here too! its not even five pm and its dusky outside. It will be fully dark soon.
no frills - it will take u time to get back to doing the xfit WODs at super high intensity! As gymgirl says, u are doing it, thats the main thing. And four miles is great!
i am always amazed at how sitting on your a** for eight hours can be so tiring.. but it is! Well, ive a desk job, i know your job may be more active than mine, but still, i know where you are coming from.
down with work!

11/2
precor'd on resistence 4 (random incline ranging from 1-17)
10,200 strides = 900 calories (~1 hour)
I was home watching OPRAH and heard a dr. recommend 10,000 steps per/day tracked by a pedometer.... so I thought I would do 10,000 on the precor. I was covered in sweat at the end.
I had an "AHA" today... I realize I need to do a better job counting everything(reps, miles, steps, calories, etc) to put accountability into the things I do. I am taking on a counting and logging as a goal.

hey no frills - one hour on the precor wow! I would be bored to tears!
I wanted to comment on the 'calories' something pieirini said about HR monitor made me think of it. I wouldnt go by what the machine tells you - just because i used to think i burn 700cal an hour on elliptical til i got my HR monitor last year. First time I used it i was horrified when my time on the elliptical yeilded less than half the calories the machine told me.
then again who knows whats accurate anyway - who is to say the HR monitor is accurate either. Just something to think about.

oh I hope that didnt sound derogatory about the boring thing : i used to spend hours on the elliptical too, but now i find it very boring. However, back when i was running, an hour pounding the streets was always very enjoyable to me so I guess it depends on what your 'drug of choice' is!

minime - thanks for the 411 on the precor / calories. I would rather know up front than be frustrated later on when I do my weigh-in.

My new slogan "make everything you do COUNT". IN the spirit of counting here are my numbers for the day:
9:30 am
10,070 precor strides level 4 resistence, random incline from 1-17 = 900 cals
5:30 pm
warm-up
10 forward & backward arm circles x 2
10 sit-ups on decline bench x2
10 backextensions x 2
Three rounds for time of:
30 assisted pull-ups (2:18, 2:55, 2:07)
30 assisted dips (2:17, 2:14, 2:06)
100 Squats (3:45, 4:03, 5:15)
total time 27:05
5508 pedometer steps

Hi no-frills, I'm a big counter with lots of detail in my workout posts and I have found that the archival benefit is tremendous especially when repeating similar workouts. I like going back to a year ago and finding out I haven't made one bit of progress. But at my age, not sliding backwards is sort of progress.
