Old contest photos

Here are the photos I said I'd post. They were from the last effort I made to get into shape. I will soon post my current photos.

Thanks man, now I need to figure out how to keep up the motivation. I think that having a six week goal didn't allow enough time for my workouts and nutrition to become habit for me. This time I am setting my sights on a six MONTH goal. Hopefully this will become a life changing time for me. I can't wait to get back to where I left off last time

I think 6 months is too long and you wont be able to maintain a focus go 12 weeks this time

Set more than one goal. Make a 12 weeker like Maxgain said, but also make a 6 monther too, so your still looking at the bigger picture and not just 3 months. I think that made sense what I wrote, if not let me know.

Thanks for the advice. I will do that. I think I will set different goals for multiple stages throughout my six months. Maybe pictures every month along with a weight goal. Any more advice I'd be glad to take.

You are forgetting one goal. Mine is a lifetime goal. I'm going to get healthy and live longer than everyone I know - and be so damn big when I finally do go belly up in the tank that it takes 12 people to carry my ashes to the dump. To reach that will of course...take a lifetime.

Seriously though a series of short term goals reaching the bigger long term goals is the way to go. An 8 or 12 weeker. A 6 monther, a 1 year, a 4 year and so on...always ready to be adapted as your wants, needs, and abilities change.

About the pics - you made that change in 6 weeks? Pretty good. Don't forget though, when you reach the goal it's time to work on the next one - not go back to bad old ways.

And what's with the haircut, you in the airforce or something?

Ah crap, I just posted a lengthy reply and it got lost I guess. Yes I'm in the Air Force, and it's awesome! And those results were made in six weeks, but don't forget to notice that I shaved my body and tanned for the contest, so it may look a little better than it should. Thanks again for the kind words and the encouragement.
