Went downstairs to my basement at 7:30 p.m. to try out my new pullup/dip station that was delivered yesterday.

Standard grip pullups - a 10 set workout, starting a set every 3 minutes, so total workout was a little over 27 minutes.

10-10-10-8-7-6-6-6-8-7 = 78 reps.

My initital plan was to do 5 sets of 10 reps but I fell short on the 4th set so then I converted my plan to the 10 set thing. Decided that was my workout. Thursday I'm planning on another quick workout like the "Nicole" WOD except I'm going to substitute pullups with bar dips. I'll get a good running workout and get a push workout all in 20 minutes.

Sunday is a 5k fun run for me. I've decided that I'll be very satisifed with my performance if I run at a per mile pace of 6:50 or better. I'll be satisfied with my performance if I run at a per mile pace of between 6:51 and 7:00. And I'll be disappointed if my per mile pace is 7:01 or slower.

Have a great day!

Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum.

thanks for the info on the marine test... its interesting that a girl gets a full three minutes extra to complete her 3 miles. Not that Im complaining of course: 3 miles in 21 mins is a far more achievable goal than 18 minutes!

good job on the pullups - are you pleased with your new purchase?

completing the 5k in under 7min mile is a great goal.. you don't aim low that's for sure

Yes minime I'm satisified with my purchase. Oh, let's take the test together in February. I'm sure you'll get an elite score.

I do not have JDR3's permission to identify him so it will be a secret for now. Lot of sweat on the floor after that workout.

Cool, new toys! It's always fun to get new equipment.

I'm guessing JDR is 3rd from the left and Pierini is 2nd from the left.

Bulls eye for me gymgirl. Good job so you get an attagirl from me. I don't have permission from JDR3 to reveal his identity so that will remain a mystery.

I guess I should go see the movie Dodgeball.
