You could probably safely drop the curls altogether and the shrugs as well if you only have about a month to increase overall fitness level. Cardio seems to be a high priority for you. Since that's the case, IMO you should focus solely on compound lifts, like increasing bench, squat, deadlift (or SLDL), military press, olympic lifts, etc.

It doesn't matter how long it is typed out, you've got a lot of sets in there and put a lot of effort into them. The intensity and the numbers both look good :

It always looks easier when we are sitting on our butt in front of a computer coming up with training ideas. Sort of like being a back-seat driver or a Monday-morning quarterback.
Good workout. Be flexible s you implement the other training days. You'll see what I mean if you decide to do a running workout, then some burpees.

thanks guys! greg, as you can see i dropped the hammer curls i think you are right, not much of a need there, just stick w/ the core lifts.
pierini yeah i think this will be tough overall. i'm going to attempt the running/bag w/o tomorrow. i'll run in the am, then hit the punching bag later in the evening, so i think it should be okay, we'll see though

not a great time but i haven't been running much lately and i am pretty tired from yesterdays workout and this mornings. so all in all not bad. i'm going to see how i feel tomorrow and maybe take the day off if that's the case i'll do 2 days on 1 day off, etc
i'm going away snowboarding for the weekend and i wanted to get these workouts in for the next 5 days but i'm not so sure thats a good idea, might be better to ease into this since it's more intense than what i'm used to.

10 min. warm up on the eliptical
Bench Press 3X5- 145lbsX5-150lbsX5-165lbsX5
BB Shrugs 3X12-155lbsX12-160lbsX12-165lbsX12
Weighted Dips 3X12-+25lbsX12-+50lbsX6-+55lbsX6*
Power Snatch 3X5- 95lbsX5-100lbsX5-115lbsX5
Handstand Pushups- 5-5-8
*in my notebook i wrote 3X6 for the weighted dips, before i looked at it my instinct said do 12, hence the +25lbsX12, then i saw 3X6.
so i took yesterday off, i was pretty sore all over (in a good way). eased my way into this workout as i haven't done a lot of these exercises recently followed by a week off. i'm also at a new gym, it's soooooo much nicer than my old gym. form felt good on everything, but i kept feeling like my weight was shifting on the bench presses

Looks like a good all-around workout. How were the handstand push ups at the end? Any tricks to get into position?

Your posts reminds me that I've been wanting to get HSPUs back into my routine. If I do, I'll do them early in my workout, not at the end like you did which is a heck of alot tougher. Nice job today!

Nice looking workouts. I think you are making good selections for your exercises to improve general conditioning instead of specific bodybuilding exercises.
Some military guys I know say don't bother with bench pressing because you should be doing just pushups. I say they are wrong and to experiment before posting this to make sure of what I was saying I dropped and did 50 clean pushups (palms not fists or fingertips). I could have kept going but not for long. All I do that is similar to pushups is flat bench press.

Cardio-2.1 mile run
later...rode my little bike tonight, went to a skatepark and rode from 9-12am. i forgot how intense it is to ride ramps, used to ride when i was yuounger and started getting back into it over the past year, i'm completely exhausted from it. i don't remember it being liek this though. def. a good workout though.
*edit* heres a quick clip from last nights session, watching it it doesn't look like your working your body that hard but let me assure you, you ARE!
