Ran 2 miles at the track tonight. It was a pretty wicked pace. I'm gonna try to do this every other day so I'll start timing it. We'll see how the legs hold up for this.

BB Bench Press
155 x 10
165 x 10
175 x 5
I shoulda had more at 175 but the 10 rep sets really wiped me out.
Tricep Pushdowns
125 x 10
130 x 10
130 x 8
DB Flyes
30's x 10
35's x 10
Pretty good day even though I wanted to get more work in.

How about 225 max by thanksgiving?
I don't even know what my max is right now to know if thats a reasonable goal. Maybe I'll do max lifts next week to see where I stand.

Thanksgiving is only a month away. What about something like 5x190. You hit 5x175 after a lot of work, you should try and push 5x190 or at least 5x185 by Thanksgiving. If you can do that, then I will have faith you can hit 225

Just noticed the site was back up. I can't remember what I did the other days so I'll just post todays.
DB military Press
50's x 10
55's x 7
Plate Raises
35 x 16
45 x 12
45 x 10
Lateral Raises
25's x 8
20's x 10
Shrugs
225 x 10
225 x 10
Static Hold Overhand
225 x 30 sec
Static Hold Mixed Grip
275 x 20 sec
Wrist Curls w/ 30 db's
Got a second wind and decided to do more lateral raises
20's x 10
25's x 10
45lb plate hold for 20 seconds.
Db front raises
20's x 10
15's x 10
I like higher volume workouts. I felt sooo good after todays workout. I don't even care if it's better to do less.

I was hurtin from the night before so I didn't feel like goin to a costume party. I was planning on being a 25 cent kissing booth, but whatever.
Today..
Ran 1 Mile at about 6 minute pace
Jogged 2nd mile with sprints every 100 yards
My shins seem to be holding me back from running stronger. My legs and breathing were fine at the 2 mile mark, but my shins were really bothering me, even with the new running shoes.

I know what you mean about shin pains from running. I know when they really start to bother me, doing my cardio on the elliptical machine is perfect. I get the benefits of cardio and active recovery and there's no impact on my shins and they get time to heal. Something to try if you have the means.

Yesterday played 2 hours of full court basketball
today only had about 15 minutes to work out
Incline DB Press
60's x 10
65's x 8
65's x 4
Elbow popped on the fourth rep so I decided to stop that one.
The rest of the workout was supersets of cable and machine pushdowns, then push-ups.
Just wanted to get some kinda workout in today.

Went for a run late last night.
1 mile warm-up, 1 mile w/ sprints on the straightaways, .5 mile cooldown
Sprints felt better today, but I'm gonna have to move it indoors because of weather and my shins. I've used the elliptical in the past with success, but I recently discovered a passion for running outdoors. Anyways, I'm going to take a nap.

You could swim for a week or so until your shins calm down. Or do a big superset of calisthenics for 1/2 hour.

Nothing compares to running outside, just make sure you got some good shoes. Swimming until all is well isn't a bad idea either.
