sn0wboarder: against the wall, of course. Back to the wall and heels of feet touching the wall is how I do them.

Greg: I struggled getting up initially. I even had someone at my gym help make sure that I stayed up. Once you do it once, you'll never need help again. Just overkick and your heels will hit the wall. We know that you have the strength to support you.

Don't get your dad to try to hold you upright. I did this, did a few and he tipped me over.

haha I figure my roomate will probably do the same if I ask him.

Good day at the gym today...

Seated Cable Rows
230 x 8
245 x 6
up 15 on these.

Underhand BOR's
155 x 6
155 x 6
Awkward at first, but I like them.

DB Row's
75's x 6
80's x 6
Haven't done these in awhile, barely got 70's last time.

EzBar Curls
85 x 6
95 x 6, had to pause for the last rep

DB Curls
40's x 5
barely got these, biceps were beat at this point.

Went for a jog after work tonight, 2.5 miles in about 20 minutes. Took it easy, just making sure I can still run while I'm bulking up.

I'm gonna set a deadlift PR in the morning. I can feel it.

Well I did get a PR but I was hoping for more. I'll explain

Warm ups, then..
225 x 3
275 x 1
315 x 1 former PR
325 x 1 new pr

I let out a yell for the 325 and then after I racked it I looked at my hands. My caluses had all ripped open and my hands were bleeding all over. I had to take my sock off to stop the blood. I could barely hold the bar after this so I couldn't attempt a higher deadlift.

I ripped apart my other sock and put the pieces between the bar and my hand so I could continue.

BB Shrugs
225 x 15
225 x 12

Clean and push press
65 x 10
95 x 5
Just trying to get used to these, nothing special.

Good Mornings
135 x 6
145 x 6

Pretty hardcore man. I do hope you told the gym management about the blood so they could put some phenolic cleaner on the bar.

Ballsy to continue a workout after drawing blood though.

Yea I told the trainers on my way out to make sure it was cleaned and I showed them my hands. The grips are wayyy to rough at this gym. I can hold 300 at the college gym like its nothing.

I had the adrenaline pumping so I wanted to keep going.

First workout back at school and it was grrrrreat!

BB Bench
185 x 3
190 x 3
195 x 3
I barely hit 190 last week. It felt light this week, as did 195. I was very surprised. I tweaked my bench setup a little bit and I think it really helped. And I really just like this gym a lot more.

Incline DB Press
80's x 6
80's x 5
Barely got 3 with the 80's last week, so again very happy with this.

Cable Pushdowns
150 x 6
150 x 6

Quick set of 6 BW dips and that was it.

I just focused on getting my lower half set up properly. I spread my legs out more and felt like I had a much more solid base. I actually got some leg drive for once.

Here's the workouts from the last couple days..

Leg Extensions
170 x 8, 180 x 8, 190 x 8, 200 x8
Had to substitute these in place of squats because I went to the gym while the football team was there. A little over crowded to say the least.

SLDL's
225 x 10
225 x 8
These were pretty tiring. That was all I did for the leg day, I didn't want to sit around and wait for things to be available.

Gym closed early last night so I had to resort to doing pullups on the water pipe in the laundry room..

BW x 8
BW x 6
BW x 6
BW x 5
BW x 4
