Nice DL PR man...and if you're benching 8x185 now there is no doubt that you will do 225 this summer, you can probably do it right now.

Thank you Pierini and Thanks Greg. I do feel like I could put up 225 at least once, but I'm still gonna work up to it for awhile.
As far as outdoor running yesterday, it wasn't happening. We actually had a covering of snow and it was about 30 degrees all day. One of the local mountains re-opened so I'll get to snowboard one last time tomorrow.
To substitute, I used the exercise bike at higher intensity intervals..
Thursday April 5th
Exercise Bike
Time: 15:00
Distance: 6.20 miles

Friday April 6th
DB Curls
45's x 10
45's x 10
DB Flyes
45's x 10
45's x 10
45's x 10
Tricep Pushdowns
185 x 10
Skull Crusher
95 x 6, 8 presses
Lateral Raises
30's x 10
Calf raises, rear delts, etc. It's nice to have a more "relaxing" day on Friday after the intense days Monday and Wednesday. It gives me time to mentally and physically prepare for the next week.

Yep, a relaxing workout is nice sometimes after pushing and pushing. I'd hardly call pushdowns with 185 relaxing though. Unless you call jello arms relaxing

Haha very true. I think I actually have more DOMS from the "relaxing workout", but that's ok.
Just getting up to date...
Saturday April 7th
Snow outside so no track workout again. Played some basketball indoors, but I'll still consider it a rest day.
Sunday April 8th
More snow on Easter than Christmas this year. Managed to get in a good bike workout before church this morning.... then enjoyed a HUGE guilt-free cheat meal with the family.
Exercise Bike
Time: 30:00
Distance: 12.26 miles ( PR)

Monday April 9th
DB Snatch
50 x 6
60 x 5
65 x 5 ( PR)
70 x 3 ( PR)
I think the PR's were just due to getting better at the movement. Rep numbers are for each arm. Last week's best was a difficult 65 x 3.
Clean and Push Press
65 x 10
95 x 6
115 x 6 ( PR)
That last set was brutal.
Front Squats
105 x 10
105 x 10
These felt solid. Got the bar in a much more comfortable position today. Last weeks best was 95 x 10.
I'm happy with today's workout. A regular at the gym approached me when I was doing the DB Snatches and said, "What the hell does that work out?"......So I taught him how to do them and he found out real quick.

DB Snatches...those things can be pretty rough. Looks like a nice workout. Good job nailing the PRs . You probably had a few onlookers waiting to see what you would do next.

I agree! Great job with the workouts Eric! Those DB snatches are killer, and I agree you will have people looking to you, to see 'what's that guy gonna do next'. Good for you for showing the guy how to do them, once you try a few you quickly learn what they are working. I'm still sore from mine on Friday.
congrats on the PR's for biking and weights! :

Thanks for the kind words Ty and Nadia.
Tuesday April 10th
The snow cleared for awhile, so I wanted to try and get in a track workout. I was planning on doing 800's, but it was just too cold. Temperatures were about 20 degrees. I did a few rounds of 400's, but I was really having trouble catching my breath in the cold, so it wasn't my best effort. Times were around 1:15 for all of the 400's. I'm gonna hold off on these kind of workouts until it gets warmer out. I went home and ran flights of stairs to make up for the poor workout.
Distance run will be on thursday.

Those are good 400 meter round times given the cold weather. It will be interesting to read what you do when the weather gets hot and the muscles warm.

400s are the worst...it takes guts to even do them.

I know I'll be able to post better times when it gets warm. It was just not ideal weather for running. Unfortunately, there's more rain/snow in the forecast for the upcoming week.
Greg, you just hate any kind of running apparently, haha.
Wednesday April 11th
SLDL
245 x 10
275 x 8 (PR)
Squats
185 x 17
This was hell. I was going for 20, but wasn't mentally ready for it. I'll get it next time. 185 is my current 10-rep best, so getting 20 would be huge for me. Had trouble walking the rest of the workout.
BB Bench
185 x 8
205 x 4 (PR)
This was solid.
DB Rows
100 x 12 each side
Lat Pulldowns
185 x 12

Thursday April 12th
Treadmill Run
Distance: 3.0 miles
Time: 24:46 ( PR)
Previous best: 25:48
I was excited about this one today. I beat last weeks time by over a minute! Pierini had prescribed for me to go for 3.5 miles at a slower pace today, but I was feelin' it, so I had to go for a 3 mile PR. Sorry man! I have that "runners high" right now and it's great, haha.
I think the idea of high-rep squats has brought out the animal in me. I feel like if I can handle those, then I can handle anything. So the pain of an endurance run now feels like nothing compared to those squats.
I also got through my last major test before finals, and handed in my last major paper of the semester, so I was relieved of a lot of stress today.
