I think it's because I set up the pushdowns like a skull crusher, it's a long range of motion

I'm leaving for Jamaica on Friday and they switched the routine around this week. I'm just trying to get this weeks stuff done before I leave.

Had to take the last couple days off to get IV infusions to take care of the Crohns. But I was back in action today and feeling great. Didn't have too much time at the gym today but I got in the important ones.
Squats
225 x 6
235 x 6
245 x 6
Definitley going for at least 250 next time.
SLDL
175 x 6
185 x 6
195 x 6
Supersetted some calf raises in between because I was running low on time. Going for 200 next time and I'm gonna kill the conventional deadlifts when they come around too. Feeling great and I'm ready to hit the beaches of Jamaica on friday.

Nice squats man. Thats pretty damn strong compared to your upper body lifts. I'm very jealous. I just got 240 x 5 today and I was jumping for joy. If you do your deadlifts properly, that leg strength should really have an impact. Just make sure to raise your hips at the same rate as your upper body. Don't shoot the hips up fast. Make use of your legs, i seems to be your strong point.

Thanks. My upper body is definitley a lot weaker, but I'm improving on it slowly. I bet I can crank out some pretty good numbers next time I do deadlifts. I've been reading up on proper form and I know my legs are strong enough for more weight. My back is starting to catch up so I should be getting the numbers up more and more now. Except I'll be on vacation all next week....

Thursday 5/26/05
Running on 4 hours sleep and not enough food before the workout, but I ended up doing alright. It's been hectic trying to get things done at work and have everything situated so I can be ready to leave tomorrow.
BB Bench Press
140 x 6
145 x 5
145 x 4 (helped on a 5th)
Incline DB Press
50 x 6
55 x 6
50's were very easy this time.
Dips
Bw x 6
Cable Crunches
82.5 x 12
87.5 x 10
92.5 x 8
I'm gonna try to get in a workout before I head out tomorrow. It will be a busy day...picking up my new truck, haircut, packing up, etc. Who buys a new vehicle and lets it sit in the garage for the first week?... Me, I guess.

Just got back, had an awesome time. I can post pictures if anyone wants to see what Jamaica looks like. Back to the gym tomorrow...hopefully I won't have fallen off too much because I partied pretty hard last week. I think I'll be alright though. So yea, I'm back and tan as ever.

Haha I didn't have my cam with me when I went out, but I know I had my picture taken many times so I'll see what my buddies can come up with. I'll post some tomorrow when I get back from the gym.

Felt good to be back in the gym
Lat Pulldowns
180 x 6
185 x 6
185 x 5
DB Rows
55's x 6
60's x 6
These were too easy, never tried db rows before.
DB Bicep Curls
35's x 6
35's x 5
BB Bicep Curl
70 x 5
Then did some wrist curls, but my wrist has been bothering me from a skateboarding incident. It pops evertime I bend it, probably not a good thing.
Not bad overall, thought I would be worse after last weeks festivities.

BB Bench Press
140 x 6
145 x 6
145 x 5
Incline DB Press
55's x 6
55's x 6
2 sets of bodyweight dips...
DB Military Press
45 x 6
45 x 5
Lateral Side Raises
20 x 8
20 x 8
Tricep Pushdowns
67.5 x 6
67.5 x 6
My right elbow and shoulder are really bothering me. I think I hurt my arm throwing the football yesterday, some kind of hyperextension maybe? It held me back alot, I was definitley ready to do more weight on the bench but my right arm was holding me back. Not sure what to do about this.
