I bought some roll your own stuff & since I'm terrible at rolling I ended up smoking less. Got down to 8 yesterday. Not exactly kicking butt yet, but better than 20!!! thx for asking.

Your weights kick ass.

Oooh, biceps annihilation. I like the sound of that.

Haven't posted in a long time.....

Have reached goal to curl 3 sets of 10 reps w/ 50 pounds, cambered bar
Last workout I did I set of 10 w/ 50, 2 sets of 7 w/ 60....
Now my goal is 3 sets of 10 w/ 60 pounds

Squats are about the same....just staying around 185 although I've gone heavier but always feel kinda nervous so until I can do 20 w/ no problem @ 185 I'm pretty much staying there...

Bench, I'm doing my sets w/ 135, made it to 155 for 2 times so haven't reached goal of benching bodyweight yet (165) although the truth is I haven't attempted to actually lift that much, who knows..

Tri's are getting stronger, lots of great definition in my shoulders and arms, can't believe it but lately my stomach is even starting to show the beginnings of some lines...pretty cool....

I also made some gains on my DB pushups but usually do them immediately after flys so who knows how many I could do separately

Joined a gym so I could get in some cardio....really like it....but sticking to weightlifting in the garage....

Legs are sore (good) from that elliptical machine @ the gym yesterday. Set the incline all the way up and went for 45 minutes, it was a killer, now I'm working on putting the resistance higher and higher. No cardio today, I'm lifting tonight....don't know what's in store for me yet but whatever it is it's going to hurt.

Hi Amy, I envy how much you can curl for biceps!!! For me they are the hardest muscle to train! I can barely do 20lbs for 4 reps. Was there any specific exercise that worked for you??

Went to gym again this morning. Really love the cardio. Tried DB curls last night instead of the cambered bar and found much harder, could only use the 20 pounders - think I want to do more of these.

There are now 6 people working out in the garage and it's taking longer....what's really kinda irritating is people that just show up and work out w/ us a couple or few weeks and then disappear. Throws a wrench into everything but at the same time their your friends and you want them to stick around....well, we'll see how long this 6 people thing lasts....I'm wanting it to go back down to 4.....Tonight is squats...I haven't done squats for an entire week and I was starting to wonder if I was going to have to start getting them in @ the gym, but the good news is that if people's legs are sore from baseball, sports, whatever they're just going to have to sit the sets out because WE NEED SQUATS!!!!

There was a disagreement to put it *nicely* in the garage. I left halfway through the workout and went to the gym to finish.
Didn't know what the heck I was doing. Didn't know machines at all but ended up getting a good workout anyway.

I did some bench presses w/ that machine w/ no bar in the middle, I did fly's, curls, tricep pushdowns & 2 handed DB extensions.

That was about it, was feeling pretty upset and took off. Not sure I'm going back to garage, I may strike out on my own now...maybe there is a bulletin board or something over there @ the gym where I can put something up looking for dedicated w/out partner.

Sorry to hear that Amy, I'm sure you can find a workout partner if it doesnt work out. 6 People is a lot of people to work through, I usually dont like to go more than 3, but a lot of my friends are getting home from school and want to train with me. Anyhow, hope everything works out, keep up the good work. :

Amy,
You can bench press 120? Like a straight 45lb bar with 75lbs worth of plates on it?
