Hey Amy! Out of curiousity how long did that saturday workout take you??? Looks like you've got a good lifting routine, I need to buckle down and follow more of a schedule!

Probably about an hour and 15 minutes maybe including the cardio. I also need a good routine, I've been checking out Cursor's splits and thinking maybe try the 3 or 4 day split.

Very depressed about my workout today. I feel that I'm losing gains ever since I left my brother's garage and started working out @ the gym. My bench press sucks. I was doing my reps with 135, last week I couldn't get 155 up w/out a little push from spotter. Now yesterday I couldn't even get 135 up not even 1 time.

Also, the guy spotting me didn't even let me try a second or two before just grabbing the bar and putting it back on the rack. It was very irritating. I tried it 3 times and each time I struggled he would just grab the thing away from me....I mean, I gotta TRY don't I??? Hello!!!!

Well, I hope maybe it was because I did some other stupid looking bench press machine first for 2 sets where both arms are isolated, maybe screwed up and overtrained last week since I've been on my own, maybe I'm just doomed to lose ground without my brother....I don't know, this sucks.

Well, anyway, here's my w/out yesterday, Tuesday

Chest and Shoulders

Stupid Bench press machine (flat) that isolates both arms
1x8x90
1x8x110

Flat Bench
Attempted 135 3 times and spotter kept grabbing bar from me (see above)
Very depressed about this

DB Incline Flys
1x8x20
1x10x25
1x10x25

Seated Military Press
1x10x20
1x10x30
1x10x30

DB Lying Rear Lateral Raise
1x12x10
1x10x15

Standing DB Lateral Raise
1x10x10
1x8x15

Elliptical - 30 minutes

Well, I went back to my brother's garage yesterday.

Guess it has everything to do with atmosphere because my bench press is fine.

I did the following on bench press (flat - free)

1x8x95
1x5x115
1x3x135
1x2x145
1x1x160

I guess I need to stick around there. I don't do so well at the gym on my own.....but feeling really happy about the bench press yesterday.

Amy,
Great job on the workouts. 160 on the bench is really impressive :

Don't worry about the guy at the gym, he must be dumb or all ready in a relationship if he can't see the beauty you have inside and out.

That's a nice weight load on the bench press! You shouldn't stress over the guy at the gym, besides if you feel more comfortable at the house then try to do your workouts there. Whatever suits you is best!

Thx for encouragement guys, I do appreciate it!!!

Well, did elliptical for 45 minutes yesterday.
Legs were shot.
Put it on incline 20, resistance 13 and went in intervals down to incline 11, resistance 4 the entire time.
What a killer!
Hope I can do squats tonight.....(I think we are?)

Did a bunch of stuff last night but weight amounts are in my journal which I left over there. I'm especially sore from those shrugs which I don't do that often.
I guess we're starting some new 3-month program next week which is supposed to be a real killer with very little rest between sets....we'll see how it goes.... :

We're supposed to all go hiking @ Jack London state park today....the thing is that my right knee is killing me. I did 3 supersets of leg extensions & lying leg curls on Friday evening and it caught up with me yesterday around 3 pm....I guess it was the leg extensions.....dang, will I EVER learn....I CANT DO THEM WITHOUT MESSING UP MY KNEES......
As I refuse to accept it or something......
Maybe I'll just wear a wrap around my knee or something today, I hate to not go at all....kids really want to go too......
