Hey Amy, did you go hiking? how is knee doing? Yeah, leg extensions make my knees feel funny sometimes. I think you are putting too much stress on your knees lately, the elliptical with such incline and resistance...no wonder your knees are complaining
Good luck with your new 3 month program, and let us know what it is about.

Had a great time hiking today. It was a real killer because we veered off the path and went down a ravine into a creek. Then we hiked up that creek but it had big redwood trees fallen all over the place, lots of slippery sandstone, lots of sharp stuff and bugs and stuff. It was great, we were good and wet and dirty. Then we had to hike back up that ravine in a different place and it was pretty scary a couple of times. When we got to the "top" realized we had to climb more so kept going up and up and finally made it to the top where there were no trails at all, lots of brush and tight spots. It was a great time, that's gonna have to be my workout today....lol
My knee was o.k. because I took 800 mg motrins and a knee wrap....

I love hiking, especially when I can hike a pretty steep mountain or trail because of the challenge. I'm glad you had a great time and that is definitely a workout!

Amy, I saw your post about munching after 5-6 pm. why don't you try posting your meals everyday? I have noticed since I began writing down here everything I eat, it has helped control my craves and munching

Coffee w/ skim milk

Can of Tuna w/ mayo & 2 slices wheat bread

So we started that program last night. Last night we worked shoulders, biceps and triceps, that was Day 1. There was very little rest and seemed like my weights were higher than usual but that's probably because I'm used to doing the bigger muscle groups first and then the arms.

Well, tomorrow night we're all supposed to show up in clothing that shows max skin because we're going to take "before" shots.

This is going to be fun.

I'm so glad I'm back with my bro & friends. There's actually 4 of us who CONSISTANTLY show up and will be doing the program together. I can't wait to see our "after" shots in 3 months.....
Do you think that would ever happen at a gym?? Doubt it......although I'm still hanging out at the gym to get my cardio in....

Well, my diet is pretty boring too, but I see zero veggies and DHA'S here... IMO, too much bread.... Girl, you really need to go grocery shopping, lol.

Veggies, veggies, and more veggies! Pick ones that are fibrous and low glycemic (cauliflower, broccoli, leafy greens, red/green peppers, mushrooms, celery, asparagus, brussel sprouts, etc.). Definitely replace that bread with a sweet potato or brown rice. Also, the less processed food, the better. That should be enough to see a difference.
