Hi..
ok so after thorough thoughts in my head everyday about whether or not I can be a vegetarian for the rest of my life...I have decided about 5 min ago that I can no longer do it. I can't keep living my life around food and wondering what I will eat when everyone else is eating meat, and not just that but I just don't have the time and money to cook things and I don't and I feel like I just get so completely frustrated about food it's not worth it anymore.
I do still have the same feelings about meat and I won't be eating as much, maybe a few times a week and definitely not everyday but I do need to go back because it's driving me insane. Everyday it's a battle of what to eat, what to make...it's just getting boring and frustrating..I tried it and it's just not for me..I can't do it.. I'm not giving up altogether. Maybe when I make more money and have more time I will survive but just not now..
sorry animals and fishies.... i still believe abuse and cruelty to kill is bad and maybe I will try and get my mom to buy some free range meat instead...
that is all...had to get that off of my chest! I gotta tell ya, it's going to feel so good getting a chicken ceaser salad today!

Go eat a giant, juicy char-broiled hamburger. Life will be fine and so will the animals. Save the rabbit food for the rabbits.

lol
talia, glad you have seen the light.
Eat meat that is naturally raised, eat fish that is wild caught not farmed.
you know, the animals are going to die whether you eat them or not... all you can do is try to support small farms/humane animal practices.
anyway in a way you are doing the animals a favor.... if we didn't eat so much beef do you think so many cows would be born every year? Because of our demand for it, life is given to these animals if only for a short time.
Besides, they are pretty dumb... and I don't mean that in a bad way. Just remember, they are animals, so don't 'humanize' them. They lead good lives, and they are happy. They do not feel it when they die, it is quick and painless.
Enjoy your meat!

pierini-- welp as soon as I let it lose to one of the cooks at Applebee's he did just that for me! nice delicious cheese burger!! yum!!! then later and smothered chicken! lol!
I honestly feel so much better and HAPPIER! I think the decisions I had to make of what to eat was really weighing me down and stressing me out more than I thought!
Glad I am back at it too! I am going to try and stay in the same calorie/fat/sodium/carb/protein range as before..
my goal: stay at 125lbs and the size I am at right now and I will be a happy camper!
today's
1. push press
45 x 45x 50 x 50 x 50
2. standing hamstring
1st set 10lbs, 12 reps
2nd set 15lbs, 10 reps
3rd set 15lbs, 10 reps
3. standing calf raises
45lb bb, 3 sets, 12 reps
4. squats
2 sets, 95lbs, 12 reps
2 sets, 105 lbs, 10 reps
2 sets, 115lbs, 8 reps
cardio: 3 min walk 1.0 incline 4.5 mph
run 30 min 6.8 mph
walk 3 min 4.0 mph
I was very happy with the run today! kept feeling like I wanted to stop but I didn't
Also wanted to note this too:
I was at work this morning and I was texting my best friend, have known her since 2nd grade. I told her I was going to eat meat again and this was the conversation
her: good looks like u need to eat some meat!
me: hu? why?
her: bc you look good just really really skinny
me: um ok, that makes me kinda mad, not to sound like a bitch or anything but I workout everyday and eat healthy! its not like i am some psycho with an eating disorder
her: never said u were ..then went on to say that when she was small before I was concerned too and that she is just basically expressing her concern for me
after that she went into that I look hot and that she is happy for me that I eat good and workout and what not..
now ok, when she was really skinny before..this was..I would say 2003ish and she was living with this guy who was 33 and she was oh, probably not even 20 yet and she was doing friggin drugs!?!?!?! so what the hell...I mean I was really mad that she said something like this...AGAIN..... i dunno maybe I am just being dumb,,,
but my theory is...it took me so long to get to the point where I love my body and I love the changes I have made and am making to it and I am going to workout for the rest of my life to maintain the way I look right now because I won't ever be so lazy or so unenthused to workout! i love it!

Don't worry about what anyone else says, as long as you are making yourself happy. You're doing great, almost using bodyweight for reps on squats, that's a big milestone!

Thanks Eric...I guess I know I am a different person than who I was in highschool and I think that's how she will always see me. It's always I am different b/c of my boyfriend, now I am too skinny..well you are right, what do I say about that.. WHATEVER! I love my body, I love my life, I love being fit, I love eating healthy and that's that!

1. overhead tricep pulls
1 set, 30lbs, 15 reps
2 sets, 40lbs, 12 reps
2. tricep medial pulls

2 sets 55lbs 12 reps
1 set 65lbs 8 reps
4. seated pec flies
3 sets, 45lbs, 12 reps

cardio: 20 min elliptical heart rate kept at about 164ish

I have been really into incorporating stretches after my workout routine and notice that it is stretching me out more. I know it's greatly important so I have been trying to give myself extra time to do it~
Happy friday!!!! have a great weekend, tomorrow is an off day for me!!

you are getting strong talia!
hey, your friend is crazy, come on.. it isn't like you have become a 90lb bone rack. You are at a perfectly healthy weight for your height, your friend is likely just jealous. One doesn't begin to actually 'worry' about somebody who has made it to 125lbs by eating healthily and exercising.
Tell her firmly that this is a huge accomplishment for you, you worked hard to get to where you are now and she should support you as a friend.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the meat again!
however, i highly doubt that your cheeseburger from Applebees was as low in calories as you put in the daily plate...? In most of the chain restaurants a cheeseburger will set you back close to 1,000 calories.
Oh, I see you tried the starbucks smoothie, aren't they delicious?!

minime-- I didn't eat the whole burger. I didn't add any condiments and our beef is also 100% angus, not sure if that makes a difference. I didn't know how else to track it besides just doing the bun, cheese and beef all separate. Sometimes I think unless I am eating things that aren't made by other people my dailyplate could be way off so I try to track things separate like that and not eat a whole serving especially since I knew that burger woulda been bad.
the smoothies from starbucks are AMAZING! I LOVE the chocolate one, obviously! soooo good!!!
today: decided to do 1/2 hour on elliptical for feeling bad about eating M & M's. LMAO.. I need to get back into the swing of eating meet, not over eating protein and under eating carbs, making everything even again is going to be hard but tonight my goal is to stick to healthy/non salty things and not pick on anything but carrots and other veggies. I will be there until freaking 1 unless someone switches with me..which I am REALLY hoping!!

July 27th- nothing
July 28th-
1. squats
95lbs 2 set, 12 reps
105 lbs, 2 sets, 10 reps
115lbs, 2 set, 5 reps
2. shoulder press
45lbs, 2 sets 12 reps
55lbs, 2 sets, 8 reps
3. deadlift
75lbs 1 set, 12 reps
85lbs 2 sets, 12 reps
I really gotta start writing this stuff down whEN i AM THERE, now that I am lifting heavier I do less reps and forget by the time I get here
abs-roman chair, 3 sets, 12 reps
abs- flat bench with 12 lb bar, 3 sets, 12 reps
cardio: 45 min elliptical
stretch
probaly gonna go rollerblading later or for a walk, I feel like the more exercise I do the more I can redeem myself from the past 3 days!
I had a horrible horrible weekend with food, I dare you to check out my dailyplate for yesturday- 830 calorie dinner with chocolate chocolate chocolate!!! WOW, what an eye opener that when I let my guard down I get out of control! All I have to say is that I am done complaining about eating bad and going to start doing it right. It sucks because I kind of have to learn how to eat all over again because I do NOT want to gain weight from eating meat again because I can eat more,
Soo...this is a challenge to myself to really not restrict myself so much that I end up going out of control, my problem is PORTION CONTROL! like today I wanted croutons, instead of eating the whole bin I had a lot less than if I would of said meh, forget it, I will eat better tomorrow! so yes, be good Talia haha u jerk!

Talia, you are funny. That is the highest calorie day I have seen from you in a long time, you shouldn't even stress about it.
You aren't alone, there are days when I eat 3,000 calories. I love bbq ribs... and I think just half a rack is 800 calories. So you can see how my calories might creep up that day... and if I have dessert forget it! Restaurant dessert can have up to 1,000 calories. I rarely do, but if I do, i will enjoy every single calorie
Sometimes you just have to kick back, relax, and order whatever the hell you feel like.
Nice squats btw! you are close to bodyweight for reps!

an add to yesturday- I went rollerblading for 20 min and it was nice. had a slow pace and just enjoyed the outdoors!
Minime-- first, I know! isn't that crazy! I never really thought about that until later that day when I was telling my dad!
you are right! I really need to work on portion control and allow myself to have something just not all of that something. I am seeing the light that if I keep doing this to myself and not allowing myself to have certain things that when they come around that one day I am feeling hungry I will over do it and feel guilty about it
Eating meat again has opened my world up to food food and more food and I need to control it now before I gain weight back >:O
anyways I start my new new job tomorrow and I am soo excited! excited for new beginnings and excited to get away from Applebee's, but also very sad to not be able to work at our family restaurant as much. It's home, a comfort zone to me and it's scary. It's also frightening that I have to live off of checks from week to week! I haven't done that in over 3 years!!!
today
Tuesday 080729

Run 400 meters

14:43
cardio: 20 min on stair stepper- it was MURDER. I did a cross country demo for 20 min at level 10! it was redick!
20 min rowing machine
