Talia's New November
I say "new" November because this month I really am going to concentrate on the mini goals I haven't been able to accomplish and with a clean slate it shouldn't be that hard.
First, my nutrition stats for October:
1485 Calories
51 grams fat
1950 mg sodium
153 grams carbs
49 grams of sugar
24 grams fiber
94 grams protein
I think calories could afford to be in the 1500's
grams of fat I want averaged down to at least 45, 40 is too low right now and it might be too hard
sodium looks great can even afford to add some salt to things sometimes!
carbs are great I will keep this at the same level
sugars- seems pretty low to me especially with all the fruit
fiber looks decent
protein good too
GOALS:
STILL trying to get to 125!
Focus on abs- Jen has a great ab routine we are going to do for the next 3 months
get that body fat % down
maintain measurements
--> not a fitness goal, but I really need to try and slow down time. I have been having a major issue with the concept of time lately like it seems like everything is flying by. I can't wait to see my boyfriend on Thursday and then all of a sudden I am leaving his house. Or I can't wait to sleep over on Friday night and then all of a sudden we are getting up. It's really weird and I think I might have a problem but I dunno what to do!

November 2nd- Horrible day- I think my life just keeps getting worse and worse. Iwoke up and as the day progressed I realized I need to quit my job already. I can't do it anymore, I can't pretend I can do this forever because I just can't! It's too much sales I just can't!!!
So tonight I am pigging out with pizza and I say screw it! I need to sulk in my misery of not knowing what to do with my life. I was seriously going to apply to UPS and work where my boyfriend works but after thinking things through, it would take me too many miles to get there then I couldn't go to the gym or get another job because there would be too much driving..so...
my new plan:
work at fed-ex and load trucks part time- in the wee hours of the morning, then work a second job a few times a week to make even more money. Get benefits and eventually go back to school with some of the money they give me toward schooling?! go back to school for photography or personal training or an aerobic instructor, something I would like doing and then have 2 jobs! fed-ex which would keep giving me raises and then maybe another ****ty job 3 days a week at night or something. I could totally do it, I know I was really into applying for UPS but it would just be too far.
Anyways:
today's workout:
22 min elliptical
10 min row
23 min octane
a little while after my break I spent another 30 min on the elliptical talking to someone!
so, I guess I can afford the calories tonight, I just need to eat and this I will do tonight and then since Sunday is the start of a new week I can't cheat again until after NEXT sunday since it's only been 2 days since my last cheat! LMAO I am so bad at this! will I ever get it in my head that I won't lose weight until I stick to the plan? oh well...I'm giving excuses again today and I know they need to stop I just have too much on my mind right now to think about it. I am also getting my period too so I will be feeling fat enough all week

Hi Talia,
You are an open book lost soul my little sweetdream.
Maybe you should run away from your comfortable home and join the military and see the world. With a college degree under your belt, you could become an officer and all the soldiers would have to salute you and call you "yes mam".
Might be just the fix you are looking for.

Pierini- yes, I am a lost soul..I feel like my boyfriend when we first started dating and he didn't know what to do with his life....I really am banking on the FedEx idea, now I just need to grow some balls and apply to work the worst shift of my life BUT at least I would be getting benefits and have the opportunity to go back to school
military- not my thing..I came across the idea but the COMFORT zone I am in now I could never leave. I could never leave my boyfriend and family behind to go fight a war I don't believe in....
All I know is I have to find something fast to get out of this job I am in now because the way I see it..I just don't care to even try too hard their and that's bad for everyone around me. I could just talk to my manager and say you know what this isn't for me and just quit on the spot but that would be el wrongo!!!
Anyways- my birthday is coming and I don't want to be a fat ass so the pizza I ate last night will rot in my stomach. I have a month to shape up and quit with the lame ass excuses! New November- maybe I had a preminition that it would be a New ME!

Nutrition- ok except for the fact that I managed to eat OVER 60 grams of fat. WTFF!!!! I really gotta get this peanut butter out of my diet!
cardio:25 min spinning
abs:
stability ball x15
side to side with 8lb db x15
reverse crunch on flat bench x15
leg raise on flat bench x15
plank hold 30 seconds
repeat 2 more times
tricep dips on machine 3 x 12
scull crushers 3x15 with 31lb straight bb
bicep curls 30lbs 3 sets, 12 reps
bicep 7-7-7 1 set 19lbs
I am about to tell my dad my master plan .......OK...phew.... I am back and it went WAY better than I thought! he didn't dispise the idea at all!! now I just need to get hired!
Also, in trying to get myself hot for my birthday I think I need to cut out the excess peanut butter, I usually dip into the container 3 times before spreading haha. So I am in need of some new snack ideas, probably should just stick with veggies or just be sure not to lick the jar clean before I even make the damn sandwich. I really hope I get this job at UPS, now I really want it! ahha so weird, I feel like my boyfriend probably felt when he was in this position of wanting the job.... weird....

So, the job I started off saying I loved, I hate and no longer work there anymore. It's a shame really, I mean what am I really going to do with my life now? I really thought being in the fitness field would make me happy and it WAS making me happy until I realized I was in a world of sales and not helping people but calling them and making them miserable!! Going back to be a miserable server but I have no choice in that matter. The bills still need to be paid one way or another.
The worst part of it all was leaving my workout buddy! Of course I cried!!! I also can't use the BAC for 6 MONTHS!! can you believe that?!?! what am I going to do?!! well, that is the worst, my manager said to call him in a month or a few weeks, I will say a few weeks and maybe I can come back, but I am screwed in regards to weights!!
I need some suggestions!
today's last workout with Jen:
40 min spin
leg curls 3x12 50lbs
hamstring curls 3x12 50lbs
inner/outer thighs 3x12 65lbs
I really can't believe myself, like I am so not afraid to make changes in my life even if they are drastic as hell.....

hey talia - just wondering, do you weigh your food? Just because, you can be WAY off by just guesstimating.
I see pizza dough often in your plate, does this mean you make your own pizzas or you eat pizza from a pizzaria and guess? And when you take a TBL of peanut butter, you could be taking two easily if you don't measure it. I know my TBL are more like 2.
Just some 'food for thought' if you get a food scale and start weighing/measuring stuff you might be surpised.
And when it comes to takeout or restuarant food, estimate far higher than you would think. Because it usually IS higher. I mean, your average restaurant if you order a burger you are looking at 1,000 calories before you eat the fries even.
Did you know an individual pizza from UNo has 2,000 cals or thereabouts? Just to open your eyes to how many calories might really be in your pizza etc.
And as I said before if you are in a bar drinking the bacardi, count 2 measures for each drink as they pour quite generously. Sometimes they give you half a glass of straight alcohol mixed with your coke... that is not 90 calories.
Roller blade sounds fun! I never did learn how to do that.

I normally do not weight my foods but can totally relate to what you are saying, especially with the peanut butter thing.
The pizza is homemade- my father owns a pizza place and all he uses for the dough is flour, yeast, water and salt so it's tough to even try and calculate that
what I usually do if I don't know what the calorie content of something is I break it down into the ridiculous and calculate for everything like the dough, cheese, toppinng ect, but I guess I do admit I can be lax...
I think I will make it one of my goals starting tomorrow- procrastinator LOL- to try and be as accuate as possible with tracking for the next 30 days to see where that gets me...and...I'm going to cool it on the peanut butter because I promise you my tbsp were like 4 haha
rollerblading is SOO fun! you MUST learn how! great cardio workout!
today I was pressed for time in the morning because my boyfriend changed his mind and I ended up going to his house, he was supposed to go hunting but I figured siince it was so warm he decided not to. I did 30 min on elliptical and we walked in the trails for a little less than an hour. We saw 4 bucks!!! 2 were 8 pointers! i never seen them so big! it was crazy!
so- my goals for the next month, be careful with m,easurements, don't eat anything i cant track, eat good! i am hoping to be a solid 130 by december 4th- i can do it! 2 pounds! thats all!!!!! i know i gotta figure this out somehow! i have been trying forever!! maybe if i do it slow and realy concentrate on this! it will be my birthday i want to look good and i want to feel like i look good damn it!

ok so not eating something without being able to track it is not going to happen.
it's just too hard and I am not going to start being obsessive compulsive.
I need to do it another way, so instead of not eating something because I can't measure it I will make sure it gets put on TDP in some way shape or form
I'm trying not to eat bad but I am also not completely elliminating this from my diet, bread for example and pizza, just making sure I track it where necessary and hopefully that will take care of the calories not compensated for

Very proud of myself for not eating pizza last night! This tells me I am on my way to getting back on track. It's my first day back to serving at Applebee's and I plan on making some snacks to bring so I don't go wasting my calories away on croutons!
Today's workout:
45 min elliptical
abs:
stability ball x15
side to side with 8lb db x15
reverse crunch on bench x15
lying leg raise on bench x 15
30 second plank hold
repeat 2 more times
overhead press with 2 10lb db x15
superset with
tricep behind head with 15lb db
repeat 2 more times
bicep curls 10lbs x 12x3set
pushups, legs on stability ball 3setx 12 reps
I can't wait to get back to the gym!!!

well, pizza crust is always just made out of flour and yeast... the problem really is that portion/calorie control is very hard when you are not preparing the food yourself. i would advise you to avoid eating at restaurants, even your dads pizza place, and just eat out one time per week.
If 95%of the food you eat is measured by you, then you have a better chance of controlling your intake.
Good luck! You can lose the weight if you want to, but perhaps you will find that you don't want to? You know you are at a healthy weight now and you continue to beat yourself up about it - so why not just decide to either
a) be happy with your weight
b) give up eating crap for a while and don't be wishy washy about it, put in a serious effort.
It's not that I am saying you SHOULD because I think you look great already, but you need to make yourself happy - and it seems like you let this weight/diet thing consume you. It really doesn't have to be this hard talia! Be happy girl!
