2 rounds for max reps:
-complex 1: 50 lb sandbag / backhoe tire
catapult the bag over the tire - jump through - flip
3 min. work / 2 min. rest
-complex 2: 35 lb kb "Captain Bluebear"
clean - squat - thruster - ohs - snatch
3 min. work / 2 min. rest
Round 1 - 10 / 11; round 2: 12 / 12; Total reps: 45
A "catapult" is where you grab the bag on the floor, do a full squat clean / thruster / launch the bag into the air at the top of the thruster.

hey tim!
hope you are feeling better. whatever this crap is that is going around keeps you down for a long time! I got some crap jan 2 and took a full month to recover. a lot of my clients are dealing with the same thing. rest as much as possible.
your workouts are looking great as always. p.s. any workout that has the name eugene allen next to it is guarenteed to be frightening!

-sandbag shouldering zercher squats, 100 lb bag (shoulder the bag, drop it into zercher position and squat, explode up to shoulder it on the other side on the top)
-ring dips (toes down)
The last time I did this workout was 3/15/07. That day I did bar dips, and finished in 19:20. Today I got done in 17:27.

great job tim, do you mean toes on the floor? what do you find harder, the ring dips with toes down or regular bar dips?

Yeah, toes on the floor. I think the ring dips with toes down are harder, but not by much.

have you ever tried 'kipping' your ring dips? It enables me to do say 3 in a row, instead of...you know.. zero lol
My ROM is still really bad but I'll take what I can get!

AMRAP, 20 minutes:
-shoulder bag 5 times
-10 kb snatch (5/5)
-15 box jump
I got 9 rounds plus 5 shoulders / 10 snatch. Tough one. I would have made 10 full rounds except I missed a box jump around round 6 or so and lost some time.

190x5 (80% of PR), 190x5, 190x5
back squat
singles - 190, 225, 275, 300, 325 miss (previous PR was 320)
255x3 (80% of previous PR)
And at that point I was done. I had intended to do 3x5 at 255, but I was too fatigued and only had 3 in me. I had also then intended to do a set of 20 back squats at 50% of PR, then 20 front squats at 50% of PR, then 20 OHS at 50% of PR...but I was out of time anyway, plus as it turns out I just ran out of time anyway. Too ambitious of a plan.
