i hate manmakers, but I hate burpees more (mainly because more reps of burpees are generally required!)

Melissa

-clean
-clean / swing
-clean / swing / snatch
-clean / swing / snatch / squat
-clean / swing / snatch / squat / press

Last time I did this workout was 2/16/08, and it took 19:12. Today I got done in 17:31.
Created and popped a blood blister under a callous on my left hand. Made 3 more blood blisters on the right which I'm going to have to go after with a pin later.

I managed to get out of my run of this with just one blood blister, thanks to my sock gloves. Not the most masculine thing, but I think completing this workout cancels it out.

3/16/08:

The snow has finally (mostly) melted off my driveway, so I was able to open the garage door and do some things I haven't been able to do for a while:

Farmer's Walk - 100 feet
120 lbs per hand, 5 walks, no drops. Probably could have gone quite a bit heavier but it had been a while and my hands still kind of hurt so I took it easy.

yoke - 50 feet
420 lbs, 3 walks, no drops. MAYBE could have gone 10 or 15 pounds heavier, but this felt like quite a bit as is. When I set it down on the 3rd walk, the yoke broke and it will need repair. I had been planning on doing one more trip, but had to bag the idea.

The yoke is made of galvanized pipe and consists of a crossbar with two vertical pipes hanging down from it. This contraption is laid flat to load it, when I thread the plates onto the vertical pieces. When fully loaded, I screw a flange on the bottom of each. One of the pipes broke off inside the flange - the threads are stuck inside the flange now.
